There has been a lot of controversy around the 2022 Academy Awards, from major snubs to categories being dropped from the live broadcast. Still, this weekend the biggest night in Hollywood’s calendar will crown some new statuette winners. However, while there will be a lot of nominees who will leave the event empty-handed, there is no need to feel too sorry for them as they will all receive an Oscars goodie bag and an additional goodie bag worth over $100,000. Yes, those who managed to bag themselves a nomination in this year’s Best Actor and Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Actress and Best Director categories will grab themselves one of the Distinctive Assets “Everyone Wins” Nominee Gift Bag, which this year incredulously includes a plot of land in Scotland among its treasures.
While all eyes will obviously be on the winners on the night, the L.A.-based marketing company is providing their 20th gift bag and has been giving a sneak preview of what nominees will be given for their achievement. The Robb Report published some detailed information about the goodie bags, which will see the recipient being given a plot of land via Highland Titles, which it is said will allow them to “directly contribute to the establishment of nature reserves in the country.” The plot, the size of which is not stipulated but can include 100sqft plots for around $200, will be part of a larger nature reserve in the country, and comes with the added entitlement of gaining the title of Lord, Laird or Lady.
In addition to this, the gift bag also includes an all-inclusive break in Scotland’s Turin Castle worth a staggering $50,000, which gives them full access to the 10-bedroom castle complete with butler service, bagpipers, all meals and a premium gin service. Other luxury products in the goodie bag will include cosmetics from Oxygenetix’s Oxygenating Foundation, and a box of products from skincare brand Byroe, or they can also have some permanent cosmetic work done via a liposuction treatment from Art Lipo, worth up to $15,000.
Then there are the other items that make up the bounty, including a range of edible items such as Posh Pretzels and a bottle of Chianti Classico, some gold-infused extra virgin olive oil, a life coaching session with Kayote Joseph, some unisex perfume, and a Tangle Teezer hairbrush.
