How much a movie makes does not immediately correlate to how good the movie is. For instance, many Oscar-winning movies were flops at the box office (like The Wizard of Oz and Hugo). However, getting people to go out and see a movie at the numbers that we see in the film industry today is definitely a win in and of itself. Movies in this day and age know what it takes to bring in the big bucks. However, when we talk about what movies are getting the most attention across genres, there is nothing quite like A24’s impact.
For as long as we can remember, A24 is an independent film production company that has stayed relevant in the industry.
