“Whoaaaaaa!!! This is incredible!” Alan Ritchson said of the news. “Unlike Reacher who chooses to say nothing, I’m simply speechless. In just our opening weekend you’ve made #ReacheronPrime one of @primevideo most watched shows EVER! That is insane. There are so many people I’m grateful to for making this show as enjoyable as it is. But all of the creative genius and unwavering commitment by all those behind this would amount to nothing if you weren’t enjoying the world of Reacher. Thank you, thank you, thank you. If you’ve enjoyed the show tell somebody. If you haven’t had the chance to dive in yet… all aboard!”

Reacher Season 2 Will Cover Lee Child’s Second Book, Die Trying
Prime Video
Leading man Alan Ritchson has revealed previously that each season of Reacher will cover one of Lee Child’s source novels. “I’ll say that we’re gonna be doing a book a season, so the first season will be the first book. I think that’s such a great way to do this. I can see why it’d be exciting as a film, but the slow burn is what I love so much about the books,” the actor said last year. Thus, we can safely assume that Reacher Season 2 will cover the novel Die Trying, which finds the nomadic action hero in Chicago, where he is mysteriously captured along with a woman who has ties with the FBI.
