Black Adam is shaping up to be an action-packed, 2-hour thrill ride for the DCEU. The first reactions began to pour in, with fans calling it “a straight shot of adrenaline.” The film, starring Dwayne Johnson, Viola Davis, Pierce Brosnan, and Aldis Hodge, could be exactly what DC has been waiting for, as they want to get their extended universe back on track.
Hodge, who plays Carter Hall, AKA Hawkman, weighed in on the potential for a match-up between Superman and Black Adam, and he has big ideas for how it should go down. Speaking to Variety ahead of the New York premiere, the actor says he would want to see multiple movies leading up to the devastating fight, and the battle between the two should take up most of the film.

Aldis Hodge Says Black Adam Presents Questions Surrounding Morals
Warner Bros. Pictures
Black Adam has often been referred to as an anti-hero, and a big theme of the promotional material before the release is his ideology around killing. However, unlike other heroes such as Batman or Superman, Black Adam has no problem leaving his enemies in the grave. Aldis Hodge recently spoke with Collider and discussed the character’s moral compass and why the fight scenes in the film are so brutal.
A recent clip was released from Black Adam, displaying the character’s powers at full strength. It’s violent, to say the least, giving audiences a glimpse of what’s to come in the future. Luckily, fans don’t need to wait much longer to see Hawkman, Black Adam, and Doctor Fate, as the DCEU film is nearly ready for release. Black Adam arrives in theaters later this month, on Oct. 21.
