For a show to be as successful and fantastic as The CW’s All American, you know that the cast is packing in boatloads of talent. The TV sports drama follows the rise of a young and talented high school football star named Spencer James. He gets recruited to a team in Beverly Hills and has no choice other than to move in with his new coach, whose son happens to be the star quarterback. In this series, audiences get to watch a young man go through the typical challenges of being a high school student as well as navigate the hardships of his new living situation and being a student-athlete.
All American premiered its first episode in 2018 and has been going strong for five whole seasons. The show stars Daniel Ezra as Spencer, Samantha Logan as Olivia, and Michael Evans Behling as Jordan. However, the entirety of this cast has had some impressive showings outside this show. Daniel Ezra
The CW
Daniel Ezra plays the main character Spencer James in All American. Ezra is an actor from the UK whom, other than his role in All American, you may recognize in some more projects. Ezra played Joseph in the 2014 drama-documentary Murdered by My Boyfriend alongside Georgina Campbell and Royce Pierreson. Also, in 2016, he also played Dan Johnson in the 2016 show Undercover, which lasted only for one season.
Samantha Logan
All American’s one and only Olivia baker is played by the fantastic Samantha Logan. Logan has been in a variety of films and shows throughout her career. She played Nina in the second season of the Netflix original series 13 Reasons Why and Tia in Freeform’s The Fosters. Her range as an actor is not going to be forgotten by us. She also has roles in the 2018 horror film Truth or Dare, 2019’s Polaroid, and as Davara Walsh in 2020s The Empty Man.
Michael Evans Behling
Michael Evans Behling, also known as Jordan Baker in All American, does not have the most extensive list of roles on his record. However, you might have caught his face on the screen before. Now, if we were to have one nickel for every time Behling was in a Cinderella movie retelling, we’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s nonetheless interesting that it happened twice. Behling is credited in 2004’s classic A Cinderella Story and in 2021’s A Cinderella Story: Starstruck.
Greta Onieogou
Greta Onieogou plays Layla in All American. Onieogou has been in the entertainment business for a while now, so there is a chance you have seen her in some of the other roles she has played. She has been in the drama series Heartland as Soraya Duval. She played Tammy in the 2005 romance movie Fever Pitch starring Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon.
Taye Diggs
Taye Diggs is All American’s Billy Baker. However, that is definitely not all he is. Diggs has been all over the TV and movie industry, filling in a variety of different roles. In 1999, Diggs was Harper Stewart in The Best Man, was Andre in Brown Sugar, and played Benjamin in 2005’s musical romance Rent. Recently, Diggs has also played the role of Rick Otis in the 2018 rom-com Set It Up which also stars Glen Powell, Zoey Deutch, and Lucy Liu. Next, Diggs can be seen in the upcoming series The Best Man (the trailer for which was shared by Screen Rant).
Bre-Z
Tamia Cooper, played by Bre-Z, is Spencer’s (Daniel Ezra) childhood best friend in All American. Bre-Z has been in a few projects including the triumph that was the drama series Empire. In Empire, Bre-Z played Freda Gatz. The show, which made waves in popular media and for the Black entertainment world, ran for six seasons and ended in 2015. Bre-Z was also Denise in Down For Whatever and Winnie in 2017’s Fat Camp.
Cody Christian
Cody Christian, who plays Asher Adams in the show, is a common face in a few popular titles. First off, if you, like us, are a fan of Teen Wolf, you might recognize Christian as Theo Raeken in the show. In the theme of popular shows, Christian was Mike Montgomery in hit TV series Pretty Little Liars. He also played the role of Peeta Mellark in the 2013 Hunger Games parody comedy The Starving Games.
Geffri Hightower
In All American and in All American: Homecoming, Geffri Hightower plays Simone Hicks. In addition to that, Hightower stars in the 2020 film LOCO as Lydia. She is also present in the shows East of La Brea and Private Practice.
