All That began airing on Nickelodeon in 1994. Bynes joined the series in 1996 during its third season. In 1999, The Amanda Show, a spin-off of All That starring Bynes, premiered. Bynes led the variety series and co-starred in All That until 2002. Later that year, Bynes starred alongside Jennie Garth and Simon Rex on the WB’s What I Like About You and appeared in her first film Big Fat Liar. Throughout the 2000s, Bynes appeared in popular films, including What a Girl Wants, She’s the Man, Hairspray, and 2010’s Easy A, her last acting credit.

In recent years, Bynes has made headlines for issues in her personal life. In 2013, Bynes was placed under a conservatorship due to substance abuse issues. The conservatorship was terminated in March 2022 following treatment. Bynes recently shared that she was attending cosmetology school, and in 2019, she earned a Bachelor’s degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.

Could Amanda Bynes Make a Return to Acting?

Although Bynes retired from acting post Easy A, she told TMZ last year that she was “very interested” in a What I Like About You revival. “I think it’s a great idea to reboot the show. I miss them and would love to work with them again. I don’t miss acting, but I loved this show, so I’d be down to return to acting for this revival. It would be a great experience to continue the show,” Bynes said.

It remains to be seen whether a What I Like About You revival is in Bynes’ future. Still, this March, audiences can take a trip down memory lane with Bynes, her All That costars, and other ’90s con guests like Sabrina the Teenage Witch’s Melissa Joan Hart, Caroline Rhea, Beth Broderick and Nate Richert and Saved by the Bell’s Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Mario Lopez, and Elizabeth Berkley, among others.
