It only took two episodes to prove that the American Gladiators were indeed back.
NBC has announced that it has picked up a second season of American Gladiators. The show’s premiere episode garnered the second highest rating for a new midseason show, with only Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and NBC’s highest-rated premiere episode since
Heroes premeired in 2006.
“‘American Gladiators’ has delivered everything we were hoping for and has come out of the gate as a top contender,” said Craig Plestis, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, Development and Specials, NBC Entertainment. “We couldn’t be more pleased with the audience reaction to this top-notch show all ages can enjoy.”

It still remains unclear when a second season would air, or how many episodes that season would be. It seems that this current season will run through the middle of February.
