Brad Falchuk and Ryan Murphy Will Try to Keep the AHS Franchise Going

     FX

The first season of American Horror Story aired 11 years ago, and the franchise has been going strong ever since. However, as the seasons continue, cast members come and go, and the original series has begun to lose its luster for some fans. However, creators Brad Falchuk and Ryan Murphy are attempting to revive the franchise with Stories, and the star-studded cast of Season 2 may bring back many of those long-time fans.

American Horror Stories Season 1 saw a return to Murder House, the title and location of the first season of the iconic series. Playing on the nostalgia of earlier seasons while expanding the lore and bringing back cast members may be the best option for the show. Dylan McDermott, who played Dr. Ben Harmon in Murder House, talked to E! News following the release of American Horror Stories and shared his trust in creator Ryan Murphy.

Clearly, the cast members associated with the AHS franchise have a lot of love for the series, and Murphy will lean into their passion when it comes to casting roles for Stories.

“So, I trust him completely that he will take me on this journey, no matter what it is. So I just sit by the phone, basically. I have my own private line just for Ryan, and I wait for it and stare at it, just waiting for a phone call to come.”
