In a posthumously released interview clip from Behind the Velvet Pope podcast, Anne Heche discussed the possibility of a movie about her life. In 2001, Heche released Call Me Crazy, a memoir about her tumultuous life chronicling repeated sexual abuse at a young age and the death of her siblings. In the book, the late actress also opened up about her mental health issues and familial struggles with her sexual orientation. During the conversation about a possible biopic, she was asked who she would like to see play a younger version of herself. Not skipping a beat, the actress mentioned Miley Cyrus and Kristen Bell, admitting she had already thought about it.

Heche went on to give kudos to both actresses, saying that both share a “personality ability to face the world” in a way that she found relatable. About Cyrus, Heche added:
In 2004, Bell starred with Heche in the Lifetime movie Gracie’s Choice, where the two were cast as mother and daughter.
“I’ve seen her Hannah Montana. To be able to do that, to be able to express that, to be able to be as bold as she’s been– going from Disney into, you know, ‘Wrecking Ball,’ the way she moves, the way she sings, her voice, her compassion, she f–king loves everyone. Her ability to get out on stage and sing a cappella! That would be the way that I would see a pure artist engaging with the world.”
Heche was declared dead on Friday at the age of 53, following an accident, where she crashed her car into a home, on August 5th. After organ transplant recipients were identified, she was taken off life support on Sunday.
“Kristen Bell gave me my second Emmy nomination. Kristen, again, felt like a reflection to me … Her ability to tell story, do it through joy, do it with her personality, charm, gorgeous timing, and humor – I see myself a lot in her. I don’t think it’s any mistake that I played her mom, and now I want her to play me.”

“This project is important to and along with each and every one of us. We all started to make a film that would bring attention to the appalling issue of human sex trafficking. We hope that this film moves you and that you are just as inspired as Anne was to help us with our mission to stop violence against women."
