In the past few years, Apple TV+ has had some interesting programming in a variety of different genres. Ted Lasso grabbed comedy, Servant picked up horror, and now Hello Tomorrow! is set to take on the world of science fiction by storm. But there may also be a bit of comedy, intrigue, and a few conspiracies taking place beneath the surface.
There is already quite a bit of buzz surrounding the show, and it seems that Apple TV+ is poised to have another hit on its hands. But the show is ready to tackle some interesting issues in a very non-traditional way. Here’s everything we know about Hello Tomorrow!.
Hello Tomorrow!: The Plot
There are plenty of things going on in this retro-future world. People are becoming disillusioned by their lives on earth and looking for something better. Brightside Lunar Residences is prepared to help with this problem. Their door-to-door salesmen are making a fortune selling a dream to the common people. The dream of owning a home on the moon. It’s a beautiful sentiment and an amazing idea.
MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY
The salesmen have been pumped up by Jack, a slick talker who seems to have everyone’s best interest in mind. His top guy is Eddie Stedman. He and his wife Shirley dream of taking up Brightside on its promise and buying their own place on the moon.
One starry-eyed young man has been taken under Jack’s wing and taken in by the entire Brightside concept. He is ready to earn money by helping people achieve something they’ve only dreamed about. But his association with Jack brings dire warnings from others. Does he know everything about this man? Should he be trusting someone who may have a darker past than he knows?
There is also the matter of certain agencies looking into the inner-working of Brightside Lunar Residences. It seems that not everything is above board and there are people who would like to know exactly what is going on behind closed doors. There is plenty of cash changing hands, envelopes and stacks, in fact. But there are other papers heading straight through the shredder. Yet in the interest of secrecy and self-defense, Jack may be holding things back from a team that has put its trust in the concepts he has sold not just to customers, but to them as well.
The show follows this team of salesmen through their increasing efforts to put their product in the hands of the public. They will hit speed bumps, find love, and may even make it to the moon. But there’s no guarantee of anything. Because the question is how much does Jack actually know, and what will his fellow salesmen do when they find out?

Everything Else We Know
Apple TV
The show is already giving people something they haven’t seen before. For many, the idea of the future as presented by someone looking forward from 1950s America has not been done before. There have been attempts, but this show feels like a true amalgam of the past mixed with what the past would think of the future. Think Tomorrowland. The cars hover and the dog is walked by a floating machine. However, the technology is not from today. Even their ties tighten without needing assistance. Everything has a little chrome and the colors are often beige and baby blue.
That being said, the clothes are very reminiscent of the 1950s, and the offices and restaurants are all very much in that mid-century aesthetic. Even the haircuts are slightly greased and side-parted.
Hello Tomorrow! is a look back at people looking forward. Why aren’t we on the moon? Why haven’t we developed all the technology that people were so excited about nearly seventy years ago? The show presents itself with a plucky, can-do attitude and the broad smile of the salesmen of yesteryear.
It also has the added bonus of the actual 1950s. By this, we mean that not everything is as squeaky clean as people want it to be. There is strife, there are marital issues, and there are conspiracies to rival those of today’s government and industry. Are people really going to the moon? Could the entire space industry be fake? What is the real purpose of Brightside Lunar Residences? These are all questions we want to be answered and Hello Tomorrow! seems poised to do just that.
