Ashton Kutcher stepped back into Michael Kelso’s shoes for a guest appearance on the upcoming That 70s Show spinoff That ’90s Show. Kutcher played Kelso on That 70s Show for eight seasons beginning in 1998. Kutcher’s wife Mila Kunis, who co-starred as Jackie Burkhart for the show’s entirety, also filmed a guest appearance. During the premiere of his new film Vengeance, Kutcher spoke to different media outlets regarding his recent experience. He told Variety:
The actor also spoke with EW, calling the experience “funny,” “super nostalgic,” and “really odd,” noting that it was weird to revisit the basement more than 15 years after the series’ conclusion.
“Mila and I were contemplating it. We thought, ‘Listen, we’re only in the position that we’re in because of that show, so let’s just go back and do this. We just went back and had fun for a week. It was so random and fun."

Kutcher’s Career
Carsey-Werner Distribution
Kutcher’s breakout role came when he starred as Kelso, the group’s lovable but shallow pretty boy, on That 70s Show. While appearing on the show, Kutcher made his feature film debut with 1999’s Coming Soon. During the show’s run, he also starred in Dude, Where’s My Car? Just Married and My Boss’s Daughter. In 2003, he created and produced the MTV series Punk’d, and served as host for its first eight seasons.
After wrapping That 70s Show, Kutcher appeared in What Happens in Vegas and No Strings Attached. In 2011, he was cast as Walden Schmidt on CBS’ Two and a Half Men, following Charlie Sheen’s contract termination. He appeared in the series until its final episode in 2015. Kutcher played the role of Steve Jobs, co-founder and CEO of Apple, in Jobs. The film was chosen to close the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, but was not well received by critics and audiences. Until 2020, Kutcher appeared on the Netflix series The Ranch, opposite That 70s Show alum Danny Masterson.
Kutcher’s latest film is Vengeance, BJ Novak’s directorial debut. Vengeance follows a podcaster (played by Novak), as he heads to Texas from New York to investigate the death of a woman. Kutcher plays the supporting role of Quinten Sellers, a Texas-based music producer. Vengeance premiered at the Tribeca Festival on June 12 and will be released in theaters this Friday.
