A new trailer has been released for the upcoming season of Bake Squad. Debuting on Netflix in 2021, the baking competition series follows four expert bakers competing to make intricate desserts in each episode. The same four bakers from the first season – cake decorator Ashley Holt, pastry chef Christophe Rull, pastry chef Maya-Camille Broussard, and chocolatier Gonzo Jimenez – all return for the second season. Bake Squad Returns With All-New Intricate Dessert Displays

The first season showcased the chefs creating elaborate desserts with them all given the same challenge. Some of the interesting dishes highlighted included a hot sauce bottle pinata cake, a life-sized chocolate drum set, a candy claw machine, an edible life-sized ball pit, and a thirty-layer red velvet cake shaped like a VW bus. Of course, the goal of those involved was for more seasons to be made, and that became a reality when the first season landed with Netflix viewers.
“Having a returning series on Netflix was always an ambition for us here at theoldschool, so we are delighted to be back again with the same brilliant squad that made the first season such a breakout hit,” showrunner Yasmin Shackleton said when the series was renewed. “In our second season we are taking it up a notch with even more spectacular and innovative creations that will blow people’s minds.”
