After bailing on his rehab facility for a second time, Bam Margera has agreed to return after he was located on Monday with his family staging a successful intervention. Earlier this month, Margera has left the court-mandated rehab facility where he’d been staying and there were concerns that he had relapsed. He was found soon after by police and returned to the facility without incident, but Margera had left the building again without permission over the weekend.

Per TMZ, Margera has since been located. He was found MOnday at a hotel in Deerfield Beach where he was met by police along with a crisis intervention team. Among those there to help included Phil and April Margera, Bam’s parents, with other family members phoning in to share their thoughts. The family had held an immediate intervention right there at the hotel which culminated with Margera agreeing to return to the rehab center.

There’s no word of Margera relapsing while outside of rehab. After he’d left the first time, it was reported that he left in part because he was emotional about a recent split with his wife. TMZ reports that Margera has also been missing his son, playing a part in him leaving for a second time, but he was told he needed to finish treatment before being able to see his son again. Margera’s camp stated he was worried he’ll “never get the chance to prove he’s a good dad if he’s in rehab.”

Bam Margera Recently Completed a One-Year Treatment Program

Just last month, Bam Margera celebrated the completion of one full year of a drug and alcohol treatment program. It had showed great progress after Margera had been struggling with substance abuse for years with various stints in rehab. He had also settled his lawsuit with the Jackass Forever filmmakers that he’d filed after he was fired from the film for violating a “wellness agreement” mandating he stay clean during the production of the sequel. Steve-O would later say that the filmmakers were trying to help Margera the same way they had saved Steve-O with his own intervention years ago.

“The way that Jackass treated Bam by making him take drug tests, by telling him that his contract required him to be sober for the movie… What it was was, that they loved him,” Steve-O recently explained about the firing on Mike Tyson’s podcast. “They cared about him. And it’s the same exact people who organized an interverntion which saved my life. These people, they f*ing put their foot down, they said, ‘What’s happening has to fking stop, and we’re going to do what we can to make it stop.’ And for me that meant they pulled an intervention. They locked me up in my first psych ward… And this was all that they could do.”

He added, “I want Bam to acknowledge that what they did by kicking him out of Jackass, it came from the same place from the same people who saved my life by putting their foot down and forcing me into a psych ward. Nobody wanted, everybody loves Bam and only wants him to be happy and healthy, and they put that in front of the movie. F*** the movie. It’s tough love, and that’s all it was.”
