The upcoming animated series Batwheels has rolled out its first teaser trailer ahead of its debut in September. Serving as the first animated series for preschoolers in the Batman franchise, the cartoon follows the sentient, speaking vehicles owned by Batman and his pals in Gotham City. You can watch the musical teaser for the DC Kids series below.

The cast of characters includes Bam (The Batmobile), Bibi (The Batgirl Cycle), Red (The Redbird), Jett (The Batwing), and Buff (The Bat Truck). As a group, the “sentient super-powered vehicles must navigate the growing pains of being a newly-formed super team, as well as the growing pains that come with just being a kid.” The voice cast includes Ethan Hawke as Batman, Jacob Bertrand as Bam, Gina Rodriguez as Catwoman, Xolo Mariduena as Snowy the Snowcrawler, and more.

MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY

“From Batman: The Animated Series to Teen Titans Go!, superhero storytelling has definitely been one of our superpowers here at Warner Bros. Animation,” executive producer Sam Register said when the series was put into production. “We are so excited to bring that expertise over to the preschool space and take something that all kids love, cool vehicles, and give it a turbo boost with Batman!”

Tom Ascheim, president of Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adults and Classics division, added: “Batwheels is the perfect show to headline our new foray into preschool. I can’t wait for all the aspiring superheroes out there to meet this whole new batch of crime-fighters.”

Batwheels Will Premiere on Batman Day

Batwheels is set to premiere on Sept. 17, 2022, on Cartoonito on Cartoon Network and Cartoonito on HBO Max. That premiere date is no accident as that just so happens to be Batman Day, an annual celebration of all things Dark Knight, and that includes the superhero’s first preschool series. Its first look teaser was shown at San Diego Comic-Con at the Comics are Fun for Everyone panel. You can read the official description of the series below.
