Beavis And Butt Head Promotion Sets Guinness World Record For Largest Serving Of Nachos

We can only imagine what Beavis and Butt-Head would think if they were able to step into the real world and take a look at this. In promotion of Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head, the Beavis and Butt-Head revival series that’s now streaming, Paramount+ threw a party with the goal of creating the largest-ever serving of nachos. You can see it all coming together in a making-of video that’s been posted to YouTube, showcasing a team of workers filling a large vat with nachos with Guinness World Record representatives on hand.

Officially, the world record has now been set and recorded by Guinness World Records. Created in Los Angeles, California, on Sept. 25, 2022, the nacho serving weighed a whopping 4,870 pounds. That just might be enough to get Beavis and Butt-Head through the week as they binge-watch music videos while offering colorful commentary.

Fans of the series will know why nachos were chosen for this feat, as it’s a particular favorite snack for Beavis and Butt-Head. Dating back to the classic episodes from MTV in the 1990s, the pair had frequently been seen purchasing nachos from a local convenience store and eating them either at home or inside. A couple of memorable moments involving the treat involve Butt-Head dressing up as nachos for Halloween and the duo attempting to grow their own nachos for a school experiment. Another classic episode saw Butt-Head leaving Beavis to guard a vending machine while he gorged himself on discounted nachos at home, uttering to himself, “These nachos rule!”

Previously, Paramount+ debuted the new film featuring the animated pair called Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe. The film brings Beavis and Butt-Head from the 1990s into the present day by way of time travel, and this directly ties into the series revival as well. It explains how Beavis and Butt-Head are still exactly as they were in the original series while now in the current year. Meanwhile, there are multiverse episodes that also reimagine Beavis and Butt-Head as middle-aged adults.
