Melissa Barrera Stars in Bed Rest
Tubi
Barrera has become a fan favorite in the horror genre after her performance in the fifth Scream film released earlier this year. She is set to reprise her role in that movie for the next installment that hits theaters in March 2023. Barrera is also known for her role in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s movie In the Heights. Meanwhile, she can also be seen in the Netflix movie Keep Breathing which held the No. 1 spot on the streamer for weeks. Barrera will also appear in the upcoming musical Carmen as the titular character opposite Paul Mescal.
Of her lead role in Bed Rest, Project X Entertainment stated, “We knew Melissa was the perfect choice to headline this film with her natural talent and work ethic. Having the pleasure of working with Melissa on two Scream films, she’s showcased her interest in all facets of filmmaking and proved to be an unbelievable producing partner, as well as a welcome part to the PXE family. We’re excited that all of us could come together to tell this thrilling story that Lori Evans Taylor created in her directorial debut.”
Bed Rest will start streaming on Tubi where it will be free to watch on Dec. 7, 2022. You can watch the streamer’s content online at Tubi.tv.
