4 Silverton Siege (2022)
Netflix Releasing
Talk about going back to your homeland and making quality local movies. Since 2019, Vosloo has been actively making movies in his home country, South Africa. After the release of Griekwastad, he began working with world-class actors and filmmakers to produce more local films like Silverton Siege. The story behind the movie originates from the real-life Silverton Siege that occurred in 1980. Director Mandla Dube, also the scriptwriter worked with Sechaba Morojele, a fellow alumnus of the American Film Institute, to edit the movie. The movie is a highly fictional retelling of the Pretoria bank hostage drama in 1980, where the bank robbers demanded the immediate release of Nelson Mandela and a meeting with John Foster, the state president. If you are interested in a local drama that depicts the story of freedom of a country, then you need to watch this creative story.
3 The Mummy (1999)
There are many movies that everyone agrees are perfect. For instance, The Godfather and Casablanca. Among them is The Mummy, a 1999 romantic action film plagued with horror elements. In case you love searching for movies about Ancient Egyptian stories, curses, and bugs that eat you from the inside, then The Mummy is your cup of tea.
Even though the film shot in Morocco was a smashing success, it had a challenging production stage. For instance, the leading man, Brendan Fraser, had no idea what kind of film he was shooting while on set. In this film, Arnold Vosloo acts as the villain, a role some would say was his stepping-stone to becoming the great villain we love to watch. If you have watched the film, do you remember how good Omid Djalili was?
2 Hard Target (1993)
Jean-Claude Van Damme was one of the top dogs of action cinema in the 1990s. When the filming of Hard Target took place, Arnold Vosloo was 30 years old. Van Damme, skilled in karate, Muay Thai, and kick boxing, humbled every bouncer, biker, and bully on his path. The movie is about a sailor (Van Damme), employed to protect Natasha Binder as she searches for her dad. In their quest, they encounter a sinister group of wealthy men who engage in the sport of hunting the homeless for fun. One of the best performances of Van Damme is in this movie; boy, is he exceptional. On the other hand, Vosloo gives Van Damme a run for his money with his maniacal villain role.
1 Blood Diamond (2006)
Warner Bros. Pictures Releasing

Since diamonds are the objects of obsession, Coetzee seeks Archer to steal the priced pink diamond and give it to him as compensation. But, Archer has other plans of leaving the country after selling off the diamond.
If you are a parent, do not watch this movie with young kids. Stating it as a violent movie is an understatement. It is not just about car chases and gun fights; there is a lot of savagery that can rival the opening scenes of Saving Private Ryan or the bombing scenes in Dunkirk. If you want a sneak peek of the kind of action in store, imagine a situation where mineworkers get a kill shot for disobeying orders. If you plan on watching a narratively dense movie that will make your blood boil, watch Blood Diamond.
