Since its 2019 launch, Apple TV+ has proven it can hold its own among the prominent names in streaming. From their hit film CODA becoming the first film distributed by a streaming service to win Best Picture at the Academy Awards, to the critical praise heaped on series such as Ted Lasso and Servant, Apple TV+ has no shortage of great content.

2023 is no exception, with a wide variety of new and returning series set to bow on the streaming giant. Their February 2023 slate seems to have something for every type of viewer. A fan of family-centered drama? Maybe Dear Edward is something to check out. Science fiction more your speed? Try the dramedy Hello Tomorrow!. Those who enjoy international works may find something to watch in Liaison. For something for the kids, a new season of Pinecone & Pony is set to drop. And for that niche market that loves travel shows hosted by former Schitt’s Creek stars, The Reluctant Traveler is for you.

If you just can’t wait until February, also check out returning seasons of Servant and Truth Be Told. Both will premiere in January and continue to air new episodes throughout February. If this seems like a lot to remember, let’s look at every new and returning series coming to Apple TV+ in February and when we can expect them to premiere.

Pinecone & Pony Season 2 (Feb. 3)

     Apple TV+

This children’s animated series based on Kate Beaton’s book The Princess and the Pony comes from DreamWorks Animation. The show follows young aspiring warrior Pinecone and her pony (appropriately named Pony) as they face off against all kinds of threats, including dragons, trolls, and other supernatural creatures. With her best friend by her side, Pinecone learns that there is no one way to be a warrior, and she and Pony always make time for fun on the side.

Pinecone & Pony features the voice talents of Maria Nash, Chase W. Dillon, Rachel House, Andy Hull, and Alicia Richardson, among others. Viewers can tune in to see more adventures with the titular lead characters when the second season premieres on February 3.

Dear Edward (Feb. 3)

Ann Napolitano’s same-named 2020 book comes to life in this new television adaptation. A young boy named Edward Adler experiences a plane crash that claims the lives of every passenger except him, including his family members. Edward comes together with other people affected by the tragedy to deal with their shared grief and move forward together.

Dear Edward hails from Jason Katims, the mind behind iconic dramas like Roswell, Friday Night Lights, and Parenthood. With a cast including Connie Britton, Taylor Schilling, Amy Forsyth, and Colin O’Brien as the lead, Dear Edward has all the makings of another successful hit. Viewers can check out the new drama’s premiere on February 3.

Hello Tomorrow! (Feb. 17)

Hello Tomorrow! blends science fiction, comedy, and drama into one convenient package. Set in the “near” future, the show follows a group of salespeople attempting to sell timeshares to the public. Sounds pretty conventional, right? The only catch is that the timeshares are for vacation homes on the moon.

Billy Crudup, Hank Azaria, and Allison Pill lead the cast of this oddball dramedy. Crudup is also set to executive produce alongside the Boston Celtics’ Blake Griffin and former NFL center Ryan Kalil. Audiences can check out the sci-fi comedy-drama when the first three episodes drop on February 17. Subsequent episodes will premiere on the following Fridays.

Liaison (Feb. 24)

This upcoming series hails from British and French studios, marking Apple TV+’s first international co-production. Per Apple TV+ press, the series explores how past mistakes can return to ruin the future. This takes place over an unpredictable plot combining espionage, political intrigue, and how love endures in the face of all that.

French actors Vincent Cassel and Eva Green lead Liaison’s cast, alongside supporting stars Gérard Lanvin, Daniel Francis, and Thierry Frémont. Viewers can see Apple TV+’s first international collaboration when it premieres on February 24.

The Reluctant Traveler (Feb. 24)

     CBC

After packing up and leaving the Rosebud Motel, Eugene Levy is moving on to explore other prominent hotels around the world. The Reluctant Traveler follows Levy as he visits hotels in Costa Rica, Finland, Italy, Japan, Maldives, Portugal, South Africa, and the United States. It’s fitting that Levy’s Johnny Rose character left Schitt’s Creek to start a global hotel chain. Art imitating life, anyone?

Each episode of the eight-episode first season will feature Levy, who admittedly isn’t much of a travel buff, as he broadens his horizons in a new country. The Schitt’s Creek leading man will also executive produce alongside David Brindley. Fans can see Levy’s globetrotting adventures when the series arrives on February 24.
