Disney+ is one of many streaming services available right now. One of the main reasons Disney+ stands out is because it is host to its own content. Ranging from classic Disney films like Alice in Wonderland to newer releases like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Disney+ is jam-packed with fantastic content. Since the inception of the streaming platform in 2019, Disney has begun to release more and more content, both films and TV shows alike.

Since Disney+ Day is September 8th, per Collider, there are a number of highly anticipated series and films set to drop in the month of September. While you may have already heard about Andor and The Bad Batch, there are a number of other series set to premiere, just in time for the school year. These are the best TV series coming to Disney+ in September 2022.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (Season 1, Continued) — September 1

     Marvel Studios / Disney  

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law continues its weekly release of episodes on September 1, following Jennifer Walters as she struggles to balance her busy life as an attorney and her love-life all while managing her Hulk-like powers. This latest addition to the MCU also features appearances from fan favorites like Mark Ruffalo, Tim Roth, and Benedict Wong.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (Season 3, Continued) — September 7

     Disney+  

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is a TV reboot of the original High School Musical franchise that is set at Camp Shallow Lake. The show follows the Wildcats at the camp as they take on romance, unsupervised visits, and the fresh air of the forest. The show has finally reached its third season, and more episodes will be released throughout the month, beginning on September 7.

Edge of the Unknown with Jimmy Chin — September 7

     National Geographic  

In Edge of the Unknown with Jimmy Chin, Jimmy Chin takes the audience with him as he recounts stories of adventure athletes who pioneered parts of their craft. In a total of 10 episodes, the series explores the minds of those athletes and the determination it takes to be an adventure athlete. The series is set to premiere on Disney+ on September 7, two days after its initial premiere on National Geographic.

Cars on the Road (Series Premiere) — September 8

A spin-off of the original Cars franchise, Cars on the Road follows Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) once more as he heads back to Radiator Springs alongside his best buddy Mater (Larry the Cable Guy) to meet Mater’s sister. Part of what makes this such a unique addition to the franchise is that we will get a close look at Mater’s family and background. Considering the fact that Mater is beloved by both children and adults alike, getting a deeper glimpse into his character should be entertaining. This new series is set to premiere on Disney+ Day, September 8.

Tierra Incógnita (Series Premiere) — September 8

Tierra Incógnita is a new Latin-American show that tells the story of teenager Eric, who discovers a secret world while investigating his parents’ mysterious disappearance. When he returns to the abandoned Tierra Incógnita park, he and his friends discover some dark secrets that may help to explain what happened to Eric’s parents. The series is set to premiere on Disney+ on September 8.

Growing Up (Series Premiere) — September 8

Growing Up is an innovative and transformative docuseries that revolves around the complexities of adolescence through telling ten individual stories, each with their own unique struggles. Created by award-winning actress Brie Larson and Culture.House, Growing Up shows the unique struggles of young people aged 18-22 with a wide range of lived experiences that are meant to help the viewer understand different perspectives from their own. This ground-breaking new series is set to be released on September 8.

Epic Adventures with Bertie Gregory (Series Premiere) — September 8

In this new series, young National Geographic Explorer Bertie Gregory takes viewers on epic journeys that show the hidden gems of the world that most people would never get to see. Epic Adventures with Bertie Gregory shows Gregory living in some of the harshest environments in the world among the animals who thrive there. In the premiere season, Gregory takes to Antarctica to find a large pod of whales, and meets lions in Zambia to discover their true ferocity. It is set to be released on Disney+ on September 8.

Dancing with the Stars (Season 31) — September 19

     ABC  

Dancing with the Stars is a long-running dance competition show in which celebrities are paired up with professional dancers to take on varying styles of dance from tango to samba. Hosted by supermodel Tyra Banks and TV personality Alfonso Ribeiro, Dancing with the Stars brings celebs to their knees as they attempt to master some very complicated moves. Season 31 is coming to Disney+ on September 19, with new episodes being released as the month goes on.

Star Wars: Andor (Series Premiere) — September 21

Probably the most anticipated release of September is the upcoming Star Wars series Andor, which tells the story of Cassian Andor who first appeared in Rogue One. The series is set during the rebellion against the Empire, but before the events of Rogue One in which Cassian discovers his ability to make a difference as a part of the rebellion. Starting September 21, the first three episodes of the new Star Wars series will be released on Disney+.

Super/Natural (Series Premiere) — September 21

Thanks to the National Geographic section of Disney+, a plethora of nature shows are coming to the streaming service. Beginning September 21, the new show Super/Natural will reveal the secrets of the world with cutting-edge technology to show nature from different perspectives. Showing flowers from a bee’s point of view and even listening to a conversation between elephant seals, Super/Natural aims to bring nature to life and give a greater understanding beyond the human perception of what nature is. Backed by executive producer Jame Cameron and narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch, Super/Natural is a must-watch.

Firebuds (Season 1) — September 21

This fantastic Disney Junior original series revolves around a boy and his firetruck as they team up with other first responders to help their community however they can. The show highlights the importance of first responders like firefighters, police, and paramedics, emphasizing the role they play in the community. Firebuds already has many episodes on Disney+, but more are lined up to be added to the Disney+ roster on September 21.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch (Season 2 Premiere) — September 28

As the most successful animated Star Wars series since The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch follows the adventures of Clone Force 99, a commando clone troop wherein each has their own mutations, giving them immunity to their inhibitor chip while all other troops carried out the infamous Order 66. Due to this, Clone Force 99 becomes targeted by the Empire who wants to hunt down and destroy them. The second season of The Bad Batch is set to premiere on September 28, with new episodes being released every week.

The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers (Season 2) — September 28

After the release of the revival TV series The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers in 2021, its popularity has seen the series being renewed for a second season. This season will follow the team, led by coach Alex Morrow, as they attend a summer hockey program in California, run by former NHL player Colin Cole. The Ducks are faced with a whole new set of challenges among the newly competitive environment. Season two of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers is set to be released on September 28.
