Paramount+ is a host to many popular films and TV series, including the entire Jackass franchise as well as popular shows like CSI and South Park. While there is quite a bit of content to choose from on Paramout+, there is always room for new additions, and considering all the other streaming services out there, Paramout+ has to do its best to weed out the competition. Beavis and Butt-Head — August 4
Paramount+
Beavis and Butt-Head is a classic adult comedy with a massive cult following. Mike Judge’s raunchy animated series ran for a total of seven seasons on MTV from 1993 to 1997. The iconic main characters in the show have seen a surge in popularity since the release of the second Beavis and Butt-Head feature film Beavis and Butt-Head Do The Universe, released exclusively on Paramount+ in June 2022. Since the film’s release and the generally positive reviews of the new film, Paramount+ has made the wise decision to reboot the classic TV show to the roster. The new revival of Beavis and Butt-Head is set to be released on Paramount+ on August 4th.
Star Trek: Lower Decks — August 25
Star Trek: Lower Decks is an animated Star Trek spin-off that focuses on the crew of the USS Cerritos, one of Starfleet’s least important ships. The show premiered back in 2020 and was met with mixed reviews for its modern take on the classic Star Trek. Despite this, the show has been nominated for a number of awards, including a Primetime Emmy nomination. The cast features stars like Tawny Newsome, Jack Quaid, and Eugene Cordero. The series has a total of two seasons so far and the third season is set to be released on Paramount+ on August 25th 2022. In January 2022, per Collider, it was confirmed that Star Trek: Lower Decks is to be renewed for a fourth season, expected to be released in 2023.
Big Nate — August 30
Big Nate is a Paramount+ original series that revolves around 11-year-old Nate and his friends as they navigate sixth grade. Based on the comic strip and book series of the same name, Big Nate is a CG animated series that has seen moderate success on the streaming service. The show premiered on Paramount+ in February 2022 with quite a bit of success for its unique CG style and its approach to teaching children in a modern yet understandable way. In fact, it currently sits at a 94% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes. New episodes of the CG animated series are set to be released August 30, 2022.
