Tenoch Huerta is making his way into the MCU with a character audiences have been eager to see. Namor the Sub-Mariner will arrive with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Huerta couldn’t be more excited to play the movie’s primary antagonist. The actor is known for his previous work in Narcos: Mexico, The Forever Purge, and Madres from Prime Video. The trailer, which was released alongside their San Diego Comic-Con panel, revealed the character’s design and prominent role in the sequel to the 2018 smash hit, Black Panther.

Wakanda Forever has already gone through periods of reshoots. However, Huerta suggested to W Radio Mexico that the process is still ongoing for the cast and crew. Twitter user @chavernand provided English translations for the interview with the Namor actor. In his answer, Huerta describes the reshoots as adding ’little missing pieces’ to the film.

MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY

Even if Huerta has been non-stop busy since his casting in the MCU, it’s unlikely that the actor would give it up for anything else. His role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be his most significant credit to date and could catapult the actor into otherworldly superstardom.

“To be honest, my life hasn’t changed that much. I’m doing reshoots that are like little missing pieces, like the take of a hand, a movement, some new framing. Like little things to do at the end of every movie, and that sometimes you need to do them again. As a matter of fact, that same day at the end of our presentation at Comic-Con, we went back to the studios, to keep working, so I haven’t had that much spare time. I’ve been working all these days, I think this is my first day off… kind of.”

The Black Panther Reshoots Aren’t Cause for Concern

Despite multiple reshoots, it seems as though Black Panther fans have no reason to be concerned based on Huerta’s explanation of the process. As far as he knows, the only thing being redone are small shots that the production team wants to change quickly, and not any central plot reworks as the film is only three months from release. Huerta tells W Radio that ’everything is in order’ with Wakanda Forever.

If anything, we shouldn’t expect any more delays involving Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and its Nov 11 release date should be set in stone. As the premiere creeps ever closer, fans will hope the VFX team associated with the movie has been given the proper time to iron out any CG mistakes, as Marvel’s treatment of artists has been under scrutiny as of late. All of our questions will be answered this November when Black Panther: Wakanda Forever releases in theaters.

“So, everything’s going well, everything’s in order. I feel really happy, at peace, and satisfied. I mean, eventually, I’ll be back at home and all the bills are going to be there, right?'
