What Lies Ahead For Black Panther After Wakanda Forever

Letitia Wright’s Shuri inheriting the mantle of Black Panther in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was an iconic moment for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After the sudden death of Chadwick Boseman, who first introduced the titular hero to the MCU, Letitia Wright was given the honor and privilege of becoming the new Black Panther. Though it’s almost guaranteed that another Black Panther film will be on its way, Nate Moore announced that they are waiting to see how Wakanda Forever does with the fans before committing to a third movie in the franchise.

Marvel Studio’s SDCC announcements set countless fans abuzz with anticipation for several upcoming movies. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars are some thrilling films that await viewers in 2025. While fans have been expecting another Black Panther sequel, no word of such a project has been announced yet. However, Letitia Wright’s commitment to her portrayal of Shuri has firmly established her in just a few appearances within the MCU.

“That’s a great question. To be honest, this is not me trying to not answer the question. We really want to see how audiences receive the film, and I think Ryan’s really interested to see how the film plays before we decide. There are certainly ideas we’ve floated around of what a third film could be if we get to make it. But until the movie comes out, we’re a bit superstitious in that way. We don’t want to count our chickens, because you never know what’s going to happen.”
