After late Full House star Bob Saget had the blue checkmark removed from his formerly-verified Twitter account, widow Kelly Rizzo is asking for Elon Musk to have it restored. One year to the day after Saget’s passing, Rizzo shared a touching tribute post on Instagram, calling herself “the luckiest” for having been married to him in the last years of his life. The same day, she also noticed that Saget’s account on Twitter, which boasts 2.2 million followers, was no longer verified.

From her own account, Rizzo posted a message publicly pleading for Musk to verify Saget’s account again in his honor. She goes on to explain that this is something Saget would appreciate, as he’d spent a lot of time sharing jokes and interacting with others on the social media platform. Rizzo can’t help but picture her late husband feeling “very bummed” about the verification removal, and this had her compelled to see what she could do about having that reversed.

“Hi (Elon Musk) - today on the 1 year anniversary of Bob’s passing, I saw he’s no longer verified?” Rizzo’s plea reads. “My husband truly loved Twitter. Out of respect for his legacy, can something be done? Thank you kindly (friends, please help).”

In a follow-up tweet, Rizzo added, “And the only reason I’m addressing this at all is because I know Bob would be very bummed about this. He’d say ‘hey, if someone goes to see my page and all the jokes I’ve tweeted over the years, how will they know it’s for sure me!?’”

Bob Saget Enjoyed Interacting With Fans and Friends Online

Very active on Twitter, the final post from Saget was made very early in the morning on the day he would later be found dead at the age of 65. After performing a final show in Jacksonville, Florida, Saget posted about the great audience he had and noted how “addicted” he was to stand-up comedy, looking forward to the rest of his tour dates he had planned for the year.

“Loved tonight’s show (Ponte Vedra Concert Hall) in Jacksonville,” Saget tweeted. “Appreciative audience. Thanks again to Tim Wilkins for opening. I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight. I’m happily addicted again to this sh*t.”
