A comedy-drama crime procedural television series called Bones debuted on Fox in 2005 and ran till 2017. Over the course of 12 seasons, the program broadcasted 246 episodes. The series is very loosely based on the life and novels of Kathy Reichs, a forensic anthropologist, who also produced the show. Temperance Brennan, the title heroine, is named after the main character of Reichs’ crime fiction series. The play on words is reversed in the Bones television world, where Dr. Brennan creates popular mystery books with a fictitious forensic scientist by the name of Kathy Reichs.
Each episode in Bones centers on an FBI dossier pertaining to the mystery surrounding human remains that FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) brought to forensic anthropologist Temperance “Bones” Brennan (Emily Deschanel). Along with work, the show also examines the characters’ personal lives. The cast of Bones most likely went on to interesting new projects after starring in such a long-running series.
