Jenna Ortega’s 2022 saw her appearing in both Scream and the Netflix series Wednesday, but what if her Addams Family character had to face off with Ghostface? Looking at the image, the meeting would not end well for Ghostface, as Wednesday gets a helping hand from Thing, much to the Scream killer’s surprise. Whether Ortega’s character will be so successful in avoiding the chop in the upcoming Scream VI is something that many fans will be eager to find out when the movie arrives later this year.

Jenna Ortega could not have had a better year in 2022, with roles in hit horror movies X, Scream, and of course, Wednesday. While her character will not be joining X sequel MaXXXine, Ortega will be reprising her role as Tara Carpenter in Scream VI and will also be back as Wednesday in the second season of Netflix’s mega-hit Addams Family series. With several other movies also in various stages of production, the actress is certainly going to have another busy year in 2023.
Wednesday Smashed Records for Netflix and Gained That Much-Demanded Second Season
Netflix
One of the most asked questions of the last month has been when Wednesday’s second season would be officially announced. Having smashed viewership records and climbed to become one of the biggest Netflix shows ever, there was little doubt that a new season would be coming. For series creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, they get to continue the journey with the next chapter in Wednesday’s story. Gough previously said of future plans:
As well as a second season, Netflix is also contemplating possible spin-offs from Wednesday, which could focus on different members of the Addams Family. However, this will take a little while to arrive, giving fans plenty of time to relive Wednesday’s first season, which is streaming in full on Netflix now.
“The school was closed when they left, which gave us the most possibilities for season 2, and I think that’s something that we’re excited to explore. For us, the show also is really about this female friendship, with Wednesday and Enid really being at the center of that. The fact that they really connected with audiences, it has been really gratifying. So, we’re excited to explore now that Wednesday’s dipped her toe into the friendship pool, what’s that gonna look like? It’s like, she hugged. That was her big arc for the season, right? So now, we do that. Then, the other thing that’s really interesting is to continue to explore the Wednesday-Morticia mother-daughter relationship as well, which now that Morticia knows about the power, it has given her sort of an idea of how that’s going to go. How is their relationship going to evolve?"
