We still have a little over five months before Captain America: The First Avenger arrives in theaters on July 22. That hasn’t stopped Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios from readying a sequel. Screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have been hired to write Captain America 2.

Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely are the writers behind Captain America: The First Avenger, and it is believed that the sequel will be set in the present day. Captain America: The First Avenger is set in the aftermath of World War II, in the 1950s. No plot details have been released for the sequel.
