The new trailer sets the stage for the final conflict between the humans and mythical fae creatures. The tension between humans and fae creatures has reached a boiling point, and the trailer shows Orlando Bloom’s character, Inspector Rycroft Philostrate, investigating the increased murders of fae-folk. Meanwhile, Cara Delevingne’s character, Vignette Stonemoss, teams up with the Black Raven to seek revenge against The Burgue’s human leaders who have oppressed them. Each character has their own unique agenda that will shape the Row’s future, and they will be faced with impossible dilemmas and tests as they strive to protect their freedom.

Carnival Row Season 2: An Epic Finale of High Stakes

The second season will feature most of the main cast from the first season, including Cara Delevigne, known for her role in Suicide Squad, and Orlando Bloom, who rose to fame for his portrayal of Legolas in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Other notable actors set to appear in the second season include Tamzin Merchant, who played Catherine Howard in The Tudors, David Gyasi, who appeared in Cloud Atlas, and Simon McBurney, who featured in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Karla Crome, Andrew Gover, Caroline Ford, and Jamie Harris will also be reprising their roles for the second season. Erik Oleson, known for his work on shows such as Daredevil serves as the showrunner and executive producer.

Carnival Row is based on the project A Killing on Carnival Row by Travis Beacham, known for his work on Pacific Rim and Clash of the Titans. The official synopsis for Carnival Row season 2 reads:

“In a fantasy world where humans and creatures clash, Season Two of Carnival Row picks up with former inspector Rycroft Philostrate aka Philo (Orlando Bloom) investigating a series of gruesome murders stoking social tension. Vignette Stonemoss (Cara Delevingne) and the Black Raven plot payback for the unjust oppression inflicted by The Burgue’s human leaders, Jonah Breakspear (Arty Froushan) and Sophie Longerbane (Caroline Ford). Tourmaline Larou (Karla Crome) inherits supernatural powers that threaten her fate and the future of The Row. And, after escaping The Burgue and her vengeful brother Ezra (Andrew Gower), Imogen Spurnrose (Tamzin Merchant) and her partner Agreus Astrayon (David Gyasi) encounter a radical new society which upends their plans.
