As if the announcement of the return of Bryan Cranston (Walter White) and Aaron Paul (Jesse Pinkman) weren’t thrilling enough, now comes word that legendary comedian and actress Carol Burnett will guest star on Better Call Saul. The storyline has not yet been revealed, but what has been reported so far is that Burnett will portray a character named Marion. Also, the final episodes will conclude the complicated journey and transformation of its compromised hero Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk), into criminal lawyer Saul Goodman. One person tweeted:

Fans of the show, in the U.S. and abroad, are ecstatic and full of speculation as to what Burnett’s role might be. Will she play White’s mother, or maybe Saul’s mother? Will she be connected to Jesse or Howard Hamlin in some way? Right now, everyone is tightlipped so fans in the U.S. will have to wait and see. Better Call Saul returns to AMC for its final six episodes on July 11, 2022. Those in the UK will have another day’s wait until the 12th.
“Noooooo Wayyyyyyy! This is absolutely the most amazing news we could possibly get!” another echoed. “Sooooo excited!!!!”

Bryan Cranston talked a little about filming but kept hush-hush about specific details during an interview with Radio Times:
In less than three weeks, fans will start to discover what the secrets were all about.
“It was [surreal]. Aaron Paul and I, we had to coordinate our schedules to make sure we were available when they were in production. So, a year ago, April, is when we shot it. And because it was a separate section of us shooting the scene, I don’t know what actual episode it’s in. Because it wasn’t done in order…We were flown into New Mexico secretly, and they created this shroud of privacy – we were sent right away to an Airbnb house that we were not allowed to leave. There was all this stuff going on, it was exciting! But also, a secret and we kept it secret for a year…And then when Better Call Saul premiered, they announced it, and Aaron and I said, ‘Oh, well, I guess we can talk about it now!”
