Following his hugely crowd-pleasing (for the most part) cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Daredevil star Charlie Cox has teased the further adventures of the Marvel vigilante, revealing that he knows there is something coming soon. Speaking to the Radio Times, Cox claimed that he does not know much about what will come next for Matt Murdock, but assured fans that there are definitely future appearances on the horizon.
While he claims he doesn’t know much about the future plans for Daredevil, Charlie Cox would not be the first actor to play things ludicrously coy when it comes to discussing the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We of course have no idea whether the actor is keeping things close to the chest or is really being kept in the dark by the studio, but for now, it is satisfying enough to know that Charlie Cox’s iteration of the superhero will be back.
“I know something. I don’t know much, but I know there will be something else.”

Debuting as Matt Murdock AKA Daredevil on Netflix back in 2015, fans were hugely disappointed when the show was canceled in 2018 after its third season. No doubt thanks to the outcry from Marvel and Daredevil fans, Charlie Cox was reintroduced into the MCU during the first act of Spider-Man: No Way Home, with lawyer Matt Murdock brought in to help Tom Holland’s Peter Parker after his secret identity as Spider-Man is outed.
Cox has not been shy about how happy he is to be reprising the role of Daredevil, with the actor hoping to don the horned mask for the next decade. “I think at this point, I expect to be involved in some capacity,” he said regrding his MCU future following the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home. “Otherwise, it would be a bit of a weird one-scene moment. I don’t know much, I know a little, and what I do know I’m very excited about…there’s a chance it could be the next ten years of my life.”
Now Charlie Cox Has Confirmed That Something is in the Works, When Do You Think Daredevil Will Return?
Netflix
Though Charlie Cox was unable to provide any details, it is possible to apply some amateur detective skills in an attempt to answer when Daredevil might return. The most obvious possibility is Matt Murdock having a role in the upcoming Disney+ series, Echo, which will spin off from Hawkeye and follow Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez. A deaf superhero who can perfectly imitate others’ movements, Echo has a lot of history with Daredevil in the pages of Marvel Comics, leading many to speculate that Charlie Cox will make an appearance in the series.
There are several other opportunities for Daredevil to return, with Marvel offering the likes of She-Hulk, Moon Knight, Secret Invasion, and Ms. Marvel on the small screen, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, The Marvels, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and Fantastic Four on the big screen. Not to mention the rumored Daredevil standalone series that is reportedly being developed for Disney+.
Daredevil and the rest of The Defenders will soon leave Netflix, and are expected to instead become available on Disney+.
