Whatever musical genre we prefer is irrelevant — it could be any genre, but there is always at least one that fills up our daily playlists. Perhaps part of the magic of music is the thrill of sharing it with others, remembering loved ones through songs, and singing and dancing along with your best friends....

Rumor confirmed. Multi-award-winning singer and global icon Rihanna will provide a single alongside the upcoming Marvel sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The news was confirmed courtesy of Marvel Studios, who have shared a short clip to social media showing the movie’s title, which makes way for the letter “R” and a release date of “10.28.22.” Rihanna is one of the biggest music artists of all time, with sales of over 250 million records worldwide....

WEEKEND BOX OFFICE The new horror film The Rite, starring Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins, took control of the box office last week earning $15 million in its opening weekend. The new movie took down reigning champ, No Strings Attached starring Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher, and beat out the weekend’s other new release The Mechanic starring Jason Statham. But with two new films hitting the charts this week including the college based thriller The Roommate, and the James Cameron produced 3D action-thriller Sanctum, it looks like we will be crowning a new box office champion this weekend....

PREDICTED WEEKEND BOX OFFICE The summer movie season continues to get hotter with four new high profiles films, Get Him to the Greek, Killers, Marmaduke and Splice all entering the box office race this weekend. However, none of them seem to be real competition for last weekend’s box office champ, Shrek Forever After. As the DreamWorks animated film is predicted to take the top spot for a third week in a row with an additional $29....

Wrong Place, one of the final films to feature Bruce Willis, is getting a release in theaters and on demand next month. Ahead of the premiere, a new trailer has been released, showcasing Willis in a starring role alongside Ashley Greene (The Twilight Saga, Bombshell). The monk comes across Kar (Seann William Scott) and it turns out that he will be the new guardian of this mythic scroll....

One of the long-running gags of the Avatar franchise is cabbages. This poor cabbage merchant just can’t catch a break as his produce gets pummeled and thrown about whenever Team Avatar wanders in his direction. According to a post on Avatar News, the shenanigans will continue as James Sie, the original voice actor for the merchant will be reprising his role in the upcoming live-action adaptation from Netflix! Known simply as “The Cabbage Merchant,” this poor guy was introduced in episode five, “The King of Omashu,” in Avatar: The Last Airbender....

The Bionic Woman, a 2-hour NBC TV pilot starts shooting March 19 in Vancouver, according to SneakPeek.ca. Executive producers are David Battlestar Galactica Eick, Bruno Heller and Laeta Kalogridis. Director is Michael Dinner from a screenplay by Kalogridis and Heller. According to the casting breakdown (obtained by SneakPeek.ca), the production is still looking for series’ regulars including: “‘Jonas Bledsoe’, 50s-60’s, forceful and not above lying to get what he wants. He is the ruthless leader of the secret government agency that turned ‘Jaime’ into a The Bionic Woman....

CBS today announced premiere dates for its summer slate of original programming, which includes the event series Under the Dome and Extant, the new steamy legal drama Reckless, the police drama Unforgettable and the return of the summer reality hit Big Brother. Together, CBS will present approximately 90 hours of first-run series programming this summer. Big Brother, hosted by Julie Chen, will debut early for the second straight summer, beginning Wednesday, June 25 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) with the first of its three weekly broadcasts....

Emmy and Peabody award winner Charlie Rose has been fired by CBS following sexual harassment allegations made against him. In a recent expose published by The Washington Post, eight women came forward with tales of harassment starting in the 1990s and going as recently as 2011. All of these women worked with Rose on The Charlie Rose Show, which has now been pulled off the air by PBS and Bloomberg. Here’s what CBS News President David Rhodes had to say in a statement....

CBS announced the addition of four new series to its 2006-2007 primetime line-up, enhancing a line-up that will return 18 shows from last year’s schedule, including six from last season’s freshman class.
