Caprica, the prequel series to the blockbuster series Battlestar Galactica, won’t premiere until 2010 on the Sci Fi Channel, but that doesn’t mean you can’t see the two-hour pilot (legally) this year. Universal Studios Home Entertainment just announced that the two-hour pilot for Caprica will be released on DVD and for digital download on select websites on April 21. Executive producer Carlton Cuse, best known for his iconic series Lost and the hit show Bates Motel, teams with True Blood’s Raelle Tucker for the thrilling new drama series The Returned. A&E has release the first trailer, with The Returned set to debut after Bates Motel Season 3 on Monday, March 9. The Returned focuses on a small town that is turned upside down when several local people, who have been long presumed dead suddenly reappear, bringing with them both positive and detrimental consequences....

Last month, we reported that actor Gary Oldman was offered the Colonel role in Akira. Today we have word that the actor couldn’t come to terms with Warner Bros. for the role, which lead the studio to offer Colonel to Ken Watanabe. We don’t know much about the Colonel character, but it is believed he is running the military experiments on Tetsuo. The story centers on Kaneda (Garrett Hedlund), the leader of a New Manhattan biker gang who tries to rescue his friend Tetsuo from these experiments....

Rogue pilots have an essential role in the Star Wars Universe. The Jedi wouldn’t have saved the galaxy without the help of characters like Han Solo, Lando Calrissian, and Poe Dameron. The state-of-the-art soundstage allows for computer-generated environments to be produced on screens on a video wall to further engulf the actors in their scene and create believable imagery for audiences. It’s been several months since A&E revealed two big announcements at their annual Bates Motel Comic-Con panel. The first reveal was that the show’s upcoming fifth season will be its last, and the second was that pop superstar, actress and huge Bates Motel fan Rihanna has come aboard to play the iconic role of Marion Crane, the character played by Janet Leigh in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 classic Psycho. Now we finally have our first look at Rihanna’s Marion Crane with a new trailer and photos released by A&E, along with new details on the final season from executive producer Kerry Ehrin, while some of the show’s cast members shared the final photos from the set as filming on the series finale recently wrapped....

Over the years, movies have depicted many situations that, as unrealistic or uncommon as they may be, instill fear in the audience. All of us have memories of a horror movie we watched as children that kept us awake at night, or the crippling fear that there might be a terrifying monster hiding in our closet or under our bed. Of course, as we grow older, our fears gradually morph, and while many of them may still arise from things we see in movies and series, they are actually rational fears that could very well happen in real life....
