It was a huge night at the Golden Globes for two of last years most talked about films, Walk the Line and Brokeback Mountain. Brokeback was the big winner on the film side with four awards while Walk the Line won three trophies. The biopic on the life of Johnny Cash, Walk the Line, scored big time with both leads, Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin, picking up wins in the Best Performance by an Actress and Actor in a Lead Role in a Musical or Comedy....

Production has officially begun on the second season of Hulu and J.J. Abrams’ Stephen King series Castle Rock. We already know that this new season will follow the origin story of Misery nurse Annie Wilkes played by Lizzy Caplan, and today we have a ton of further info on the upcoming season via director Greg Yaitanes. Greg Yaitanes says this. He continues. “I’m directing the first episode [and] an episode later in the season, too....

Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game publishers, and CBS Consumer Products announced the development of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Hard Evidence, an all-new video game in the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Hard Evidence will be based on the characters and storylines from the original hit CSI television series and will launch for the PC in spring 2007. Developed by Telltale Games, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Hard Evidence will continue the crime-solving experience of Ubisoft’s CSI video game series....

Creature Comforts, the American version of the hit British television series will premiere Monday, June 4 (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Loki is still one of Marvel Studios’ biggest Disney+ TV shows, holding its own against the likes of Moon Knight and Hawkeye to remain the most-watched MCU show on the platform. Now it has reigned supreme at the MTV Movie & TV Awards, beating even Spider-Man: No Way Home to one of the big awards of the night. Marvel Studios has been on a winning streak on both the big and small screen, and Loki made sure that continued at the MTV Movie & TV Awards, as while Spider-Man: No Way Home and Black Widow picked up awards in the movie categories, Loki’s biggest win was for Best Breakthrough Performance which went to Sophia Di Martino for her performance as “female Loki” variant Sylvie....

Don’t tell Alex Garland that 28 Days Later isn’t a zombie movie. Released in 2002, 28 Days Later was written by Garland and directed by Danny Boyle. British network Channel 4’s It’s a Sin was huge at the time of its release, taking the world by storm after it was released both in the UK and internationally through streaming service HBO Max. The series is set in 1980s Britain, telling the story of young people in London and the tragedies which surround their lives during the AIDS epidemic, claiming the lives of thousands of young people. LGBTQ+ representation has come a long way since its bloom in the 2000s, and while 2021 was a great year for LGBTQ+ stories, they are still often underrepresented in mainstream media....

Time Inc. Studios and XYZ Films are producing a biopic of famed car designer John DeLorean. According to Variety, House of Saddam director Alex Holmes has been tapped to helm the film, which will focus on the crime aspects of the maverick carmaker’s life. In the film, Holmes will tell how DeLorean’s glamour life came crashing down around him once he was caught up in an FBI drug trafficking sting. The director hopes to create a thriller with a tragic hero at its center....

Former child star Amanda Bynes wants to end her conservatorship. In 2013, Bynes’ mother Lynn was granted temporary conservatorship over the actress when Bynes allegedly set fire to a neighbor’s driveway and was detained by police. Lynn regained conservatorship a year later following mental health evaluations, and Bynes announced soon after she’d been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and struggled with addiction. Now, the 35-year-old actress has hired lawyer David A. Esquibias to help end the conservatorship....

American Horror Story will continue its Season 2 run throughout the holiday season, with Unholy Night to air this Wednesday, December 5th. In the episode, a homicidal Santa wrecks havoc on Briarcliff while Sister Jude (Jessica Lange) faces off with the devil. Hulu recently released the official trailer for the second season of Animaniacs, which returns for zany new episodes starting Friday, November 5th, 2021. Focus Features has released a new featurette for Anna Karenina, director Joe Wright’s adaptation of the classic Leo Tolstoy novel. Aubrey Plaza is heading to Saturday Night Live. The first hosts have been revealed for the return of the sketch comedy series when it comes back to NBC on Jan. 21, with Plaza kicking things off accompanied by musical guest Sam Smith, per NBC. This marks the SNL hosting debut for the Parks and Rec star, while Smith previously appeared as the musical guest in 2014 and 2017. Smith also appeared on SNL in 2015 to join musical guest Disclosure for one song....

Eat your heart out, Tom Hanks… Bachelor Party 2: The Last Temptation will be released on DVD on March 29. The follow-up to the 80s comedy will be available in an unrated version, and will also be available with both the original Bachelor Party and Bachelor Party 2: The Last Temptation in a two-pack. The sequel will be priced at $26.98 SRP while the two-pack will run you $34.98. The sequel stars Josh Cooke, Sara Foster, Gregg Pitts and Warren Christie....

Actor Will Poulter is taking a break from Twitter in order to focus on his mental health. This comes shortly after the release of his new movie Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, which was released as Netflix’s first interactive choose-your-own-adventure type movie. Poulter had this to say in a statement. The response to the interactive Black Mirror movie, which can last anywhere from 90 minutes to five hours, depending on the outcome, has been a bit mixed and, while Will Poulter didn’t cite any specific blowback as reason for his break from Twitter, it’s safe to assume, given that he singles the movie out, that the response had something to do with it....
