It’s Erika Vu, bitch! Netflix has released a trailer for its upcoming comedy series Boo, Bitch, starring Lana Condor (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before). The official Netflix Twitter account shared the hilarious trailer Monday, with Condor as Erika Vu, a high school senior suffering from a severe case of FOMO after spending the past four years focusing solely on academics. Alongside her best friend Gia (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark’s Zoe Colletti), Erika sets out to change her life for the more adventurous … only to immediately find herself as a ghost, stuck between the living and the dead....

Quentin Tarantino’s Weinstein Co. film Inglorious Bastards is entering interesting waters as he is now shopping to fill lead roles. According to Variety, Tarantino and Harvey Weinstein will meet with five studios from Friday through Tuesday. After the director met Brad Pitt in France on Tuesday, those studios are already salivating over the expectation that Tarantino will land Pitt to play the key role of Aldo Raine. They’ll be even keener if Tarantino’s plan to meet Leonardo DiCaprio for another lead role goes well Thursday....

The popularity of Formula 1 has exploded over the past few years. Interest in the sport has been boosted, and crowds of new fans have been attracted from the USA. One of the most anticipated upcoming video games for horror fans is Evil Dead: The Game. Actor Channing Tatum has signed on to both star in and produce the upcoming film The Contortionist’s Handbook, according to Deadline New York. Tatum will star as a chameleon-esque forger who slips into new identities constantly to avoid being caught by the authorities, and to forget his troubled past. His strict code of conduct gets upended when he falls for a beautiful and mysterious woman with her own shady past....

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aeon Digital on Tuesday confirmed a licensing agreement with NBC Universal that will make movies and television events available on-demand over the Internet. Titles will be available for a 24-hour period after they are selected, but pricing has yet to be finalized. Aeon Digital CEO Giovanni D’Andrea said the deal includes recent movies such as Ray and The 40-Year-Old Virgin along with selections from Universal’s library....

Just days after Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Comic-Con presentation in San Diego, the ABC series has added Simon Kassianides to the Season 2 cast. The actor will be portraying Bakshi, described as, “a confident right-hand man who is not afraid to do dirty work.” It wasn’t confirmed who Bakshi is the right-hand man of, however, and it seems that this character was created specifically for the series, since there is no Bakshi listed in the Marvel database....

The Good This is the version of the film that should have been released all along. The Bad Paltry extra features. Alexander Revisited: The Final Cut is a highly in-depth, 214 minute look at this complex conqueror who is embodied with ferocity by Colin Farrell. Opening with Alexander’s army conquering Babylon, we are treated to a long, almost sermon-like speech as this great warrior gets his troops ready for battle. Once this commences, director Oliver Stone seems to be reveling in the fact that he can now show us this film in the unencumbered fashion that he had originally intended....

Whether you like it or not, remakes have become a staple of modern-day movie-making. Whether it be remaking old classics, or attempting to modernize 80s fan-favourites, it seems the onslaught of remakes is here to stay. Next on the agenda is the highly acclaimed World War I movie All Quiet on the Western Front. It is now being reported that Captain America: Civil War and Inglourious Bastards star Daniel Brühl will both produce and star in this remake of the 1930 best picture Oscar winner....

Directors Peter Scheerer and Michael Roesch have completed principal photography for Alone in the Dark 2. Produced by Uwe Boll, the picture was shot in Los Angeles and New York City, and is based on Atari´s successful series of video games. Alone in the Dark 2 tells the story of Edward Carnby, who joins forces with a team of witch hunters to track down the dangerous witch Elisabeth Dexter. Director Michael Roesch tells: “When we were hired to write and direct ALONE IN THE DARK 2, we asked ourselves: What villain would we really like to see on the screen?...

Predator franchise fans probably didn’t expect for Prey to be such a success, given how much previous sequels have struggled. However, the debut of Prey on Hulu has turned out to be a tremendous success, breaking new records at the streaming platform and having many fans wondering why it couldn’t have played in theaters. In addition to its high viewership, Prey was also met with critical praise and currently ranks as the highest-rated film of the franchise on Rotten Tomatoes....

While the titular Apocalypse may have been averted in last night’s American Horror Story Season 8 finale, the battle against Satan’s minions continues (for at least a couple more years). It was about 5 weeks ago when I sheepishly postulated that perhaps the Apocalypse of American Horror Story Season 8 wasn’t set in stone. Sure enough, series creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk took a page out of James Cameron’s Terminator Playbook, with Mallory (Billie Lourde) pulling a Sarah Conner by saving the world from a nuclear holocaust....

The iPod continues to achieve milestones. In a story from Home Media Magazine, Apple recently announced that it had sold 100 million iPods. “At this historic milestone, we want to thank music lovers everywhere for making iPod such an incredible success,” Apple’s CEO, Steve Jobs, stated. “iPod has helped millions of people around the world rekindle their passion for music, and we’re thrilled to be a part of that.” The iPod came on the scene “five and a half years ago, in November 2001, and since then Apple has introduced more than 10 new iPod models, including five generations of iPod, two generations of iPod mini, two generations of iPod nano and two generations of iPod shuffle....

Avatar: The Way of Water’s success has made cinema history for both the Avatar franchise and for writer-director James Cameron, but someone who has also reached an amazing milestone thanks to the movie’s $2 million box office is Zoe Saldaña. The Avatar movies have a stellar cast, but Saldaña’s involvement in both 2009’s Avatar and its sequel has put her into her own exclusive club thanks to also being a part of the MCU, in particular her roles in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, which have seen her become the only actor to appear in four different $2 billion movies....
