It has just been reported that famous journalist and television personality Barbara Walters has passed away. The news was announced by ABC, the network Walters had spent many years at with her work as an anchor and correspondent. No additional details were immediately made available regarding Walters’ passing. She was 93 years old. Walters spent around five decades on television and made history in 1976 as the first female anchor on an evening news program when she joined ABC News....

Unlike its close relative the horror/comedy, the sci-fi/comedy genre has usually been an unsuccessful experiment left to mutate in a laboratory somewhere. Whereas horror and comedy make some kind of logical sense (both rely on timing; a shriek is simply a laugh you haven’t met yet), the elusive sci-fi/comedy is a far riskier mutation. Like mixing potions, go too far one way or another and the concoction will blow up in your face....

Mary Stuart Masterson is the latest addition to Blumhouse’s Five Nights at Freddy’s, Variety reports. She joins previously announced cast mates Josh Hutcherson and Matthew Lillard. The film is based on the popular video game franchise that originated in 2014 and has since expanded to nine games. We previously learned that Lillard had been cast as William Afton, the video game series’ antagonist, with Josh Hutcherson portraying Mike Smith, the security guard in the original game....
