The tragic death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins is still continuing to be the subject of legal battles against Alec Baldwin and the crew of Rust over a year after the incident took place. Now, as per Variety, Baldwin is looking to “clear his name” in a suit against him, and has launched his own cross-complaint which lays the blame for what happened at the feet of the person who supplied the bullets for the production and the three crew members who set up the gun....

The Bad This documentary seems to believe that punk rock ended in 1986. While I am sure that there are punk rockers who might balk at some of American Hardcore’s assertions (I know that I do), I will say that this documentary is great....

The second season of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building has just landed an Academy Awards host. Amy Schumer, an actress and comedian who hosted this year’s Oscars ceremony alongside Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes, has just been cast in Only Murders in the Building season 2. Per Vanity Fair, Schumer will play a “slightly unbearable version of herself” with the celebrity becoming the newest resident of the Arconia. According to Hoffman, Schumer jumped at the chance to appear in the series and was “the most immediate yes” they’ve ever gotten for the cast....

Apple TV+ has released the first teaser for Sidney, an upcoming documentary based on the life of Sidney Poitier, who died earlier this year at age 94. One of the most acclaimed movie stars during Hollywood’s Golden Era, Poitier was the first Black man to receive an Oscar award for best actor in 1963 (Lilies of the Field), an accomplished director and an activist for the Civil Rights Movement. The documentary is produced by Oprah Winfrey and directed by Reginald Hudlin and features commentary from such notables as Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Robert Redford, Lenny Kravitz, Barbra Streisand, Spike Lee, and many more....

The 1942 classic Bambi will be released on Blu-ray for the very first time in a brand new Diamond Collection edition on March 1. The two-disc combo pack, which also includes a standard DVD disc, will be priced at $39.99 SRP. A high-definition digital download version will also be on sale for $19.99 SRP and a standard-definition digital download will cost $14.99 SRP. The DVD-only version of Bambi will be released seven weeks later on April 29....

A&E Network and executive producer Carlton Cuse are letting fans have a say in the creation of the new original drama series Bates Motel, starring Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore and premiering this March. Carlton is asking the public for their help in creating the 15-second opening title sequence for the series as part of a Facebook contest for fans. Betty White has announced the re-release of her long-lost TV series Betty White’s Pet Set after 50 years. Featuring White conducting interviews with celebrity guests and interacting with their pets, the series originally aired for 31 episodes in 1971. Taking to Twitter to post a video preview of the series, White announced that The Pet Set is now available to watch on Apple TV. “I am so pleased to announce the re-release of Betty White’s Pet Set today,” White says in the announcement....

Katee Sackhoff is done with Bionic Woman according to the blog Roadrunner. The author of the blog was at a Battlestar Galactica/Stargate SG-1/Stargate: Atlantis convention held in Burbank, California, where Katee Sackhoff revealed her future involvement with Jaime Sommers and the Berkut Group. According to the report, Sackhoff is to have meetings with the producers of the show following Thanksgiving, but she doesn’t expect to return to the show even if it does resume production....
