From Adult Swim and CrunchyRoll, Blade Runner: Black Lotus is a spin-off anime series set in 2032 (that’s after the original movie, but obviously before the 2049 Ryan Gosling led sequel). Running for 13 episodes, the show is a neat take on the Blade Runner ethos, where the rich are using androids in a game-hunting scenario (in the same way someone might go on safari and shoot antelope, say). Elle, a replicant, escapes and while piecing back what memory she can, seeks revenge for those that they slaughtered....

CBS announced premiere dates for a diverse slate of original summer programming that will include a celebrity game show competition, secrets of women in suburbia and the return of two popular reality series. Highlighting CBS’s original summer programming are Gameshow Marathon, an elimination-style game show competition featuring celebrities playing classic television games; Tuesday Night Book Club, a titillating peek into the lives of a group of real middle class women in suburbia; Rock Star: Supernova, a competition show to find the lead singer for the new super rock group, Supernova, made up of legendary performers from some of America’s biggest rock bands; and Big Brother 7: All-Stars, the seventh edition of the summer reality hit that will reunite some of the most memorable, entertaining and controversial houseguests from previous Big Brother seasons as they compete for the $500,000 grand prize....

Published in 1985 as part of Stephen King’s short story collection “Skeleton Crew,” The Mist directed by Frank Darabont takes place in a small town where a thick mist engulfs the area, killing those caught in its darkness. Terrified survivors seek refuge in a supermarket, while a swarm of murderous critters tries to get in....

Knives Out, directed by Rian Johnson, has an impressive star-studded cast. Benoit Blanc, the top-notch detective, is played by Daniel Craig. He brings out the character perfectly, complete with the big ego. His arrival on the scene compounds the mystery since it is not out rightly apparent who engaged his services in solving the mystery. Marta Cabrera (Ana de Armas) delivers her role with aplomb. She is the story’s heroine, the murder victim’s confidante, and Harlan Thrombey’s (Christopher Plummer) nurse....

Most often, movies are made with the intent to show to an audience. But what happens when a movie is fully completed and is never released for a viewing? Where does the completed project go? With Pride Month upon us, LGBTQ+ stories often become the focus of many corporate companies. We typically see logos become dressed up, in one way or another, with the Pride flag. LGBTQ+ history and advocacy, of course, run much deeper than that which is (attempted to be) conveyed by these corporate messages. Indeed, it’s important us, especially LGBTQ+ allies, to educate ourselves on this very important difference. Stories regarding real-life people throughout history in the form of documentaries is one of the surest ways to contextualize where we are today and how we got here....

Catherine Bell is Cassie Nightingale, a mysterious woman who moves into an old house in a small town with the intention of putting down roots. Cassie also opens a mysterious shop in town called, Bell, Book and Candle, which harkens viewers back to the movie by that name about witches. Cassie sells candles, oils, potions, masks, and everything to help with personal problems facing residents. She has a better understanding of people and the human condition than most and manages to ingratiate herself to many of the townsfolk....

Now, five years later, he has passed the torch to Spanish director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo on the follow-up, 28 Weeks Later from Fox Atomic. But don’t think Boyle’s just giving up his franchise; he’s serving as executive producer, and apparenly very hands with Fresnadillo - but let him shoot the film the way he wanted....

The next Adventure Time special has been revealed. During a special Comic-Con@Home panel, it was confirmed that Adventure Time: Distant Lands Obsidian will be heading to HBO Max. While much remains secretive, the special will focus on Marceline and Princess Bubblegum. The relationship between the two was confirmed toward the end of the show’s original run.
