In 2020, Anne Rice signed a deal with AMC+ to allow her novels, like Mayfair Witches and Vampire Chronicles, to be adapted for the streaming service. One of the first adaptations to reach AMC+ happened this past October when Interview with the Vampire earned high viewing numbers for the streaming platform. Her subsequent adaptation looks to be as successful when it hits AMC and AMC+ on January 8, 2023. Mayfair Witches will be the lone new series to hit AMC+ in January....

We’re getting a special new episode of Billy on the Street. Previously airing for five seasons on Fuse and truTV, the series has since been resurrected as a short-form web series through Funny or Die with the last installment releasing in 2019. There has not been any new episodes of Billy on the Street since as host Billy Eichner has been keeping busy with acting and filmmaking, which includes writing and starring in the new rom-com Bros....

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has the monumental task of continuing the franchise without the former titular character, played by Chadwick Boseman. When the actor tragically passed away in 2020, the cast and crew were left in disarray without a goal to strive toward. Questions of whether to continue with a Black Panther sequel quickly arose, as Boseman led the film when it was released in 2018 and has since become a major part of the MCU with Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame in 2019....

Blockbuster has eyes for Movielink. In article from Variety, the report that that rental giant “is in advanced talks” to buy Movielink even though other potential buyers are circling. An executive at Movielink confirmed that Blockbuster was talking to the “studio owned site.” Blockbuster is currently offering $50 million dollars for the site (as well as stock options) but this situation is seen as win-win for both the studio owners and Blockbuster....

Filmmaker and photographer Carter Smith, who has helmed videos for some of the music industry’s biggest names, is set to direct an adaptation of Scott Smith’s novel The Ruins, according to Production Weekly. Scott Smith follows up his best-selling first novel, A Simple Plan, the film of which received an Oscar nomination for best screenplay, with a stunning horror thriller, that follows four American friends on vacation in Cancún, Mexico – Jeff, Amy, Eric and Stacy – who meet a German tourist, Mathias, and persuades them to join his hunt for his younger brother, Henrich, last seen headed off with a new girlfriend toward some ruins....

George Schweitzer, Chief Marketing Officer at CBS, described the new CBS EYE-lert system, which will alert viewers via cell phone, email or other platform when a program will start later than its scheduled time. With sports programs not always sticking to their allotted time frame, (sometimes they do run longer than they are scheduled for), this new system will be helpful to viewers who want to watch specific programs. They will now be able to find out exactly when their shows are going to start late and what time they are going to begin....

Spoiler Warning: The Morning Show Season 1 and 2 Apple TV+’s The Morning Show has been renewed for a third season even though the Emmy-award-winning drama was initially picked up for only two seasons. This time, however, we will see the addition of Charlotte Stoudt as the new showrunner. Stoudt is known for writing award-winning shows like Homeland, Fosse/Verdon, and House of Cards.
