Filming has officially begun on the final episodes of the Breaking Bad spinoff series Better Call Saul. Since 2015, Bob Odenkirk has been leading the AMC drama as Jimmy McGill, the eccentric attorney first introduced in the original series under the alias Saul Goodman. It will all come to an end with the sixth and final season of Better Call Saul, and a set photo tweeted by executive producer and co-creator Peter Gould has revealed that the first day of principal photography has started....

The newly released collection of The Great British Baking Show only contains one episode on Netflix as of right now with a thumbnail that announces, “new episodes weekly.” Similarly, the upcoming rap competition series Rhythm & Flow will release episodes in batches. The first four episodes will be released on October 9 and will reveal the American Idol-style auditions with judges T.I., Cardi B, and Chance the Rapper. Then, episodes 5-7 will be released on October 16, and episodes 8-10 will follow on October 23....

We reported a few weeks ago that Bruce Willis, Gwyneth Paltrow and Bradley Cooper were circling the new film by M. Night Shyamalan and now it seems that one of those actors are off the project. /Film discovered an interview with Shyamalan at Philly.com where he said that Bradley Cooper likely won’t appear in the new, untitled film, because of his involvement in another film. We’ll be sure to keep you posted with any further details on this new mystery project as soon as more information comes in....

The film is actually funny with several stand-out scenes. The ensemble cast of famous comedians keep the laughs flowing. The problem is that Bromates runs out of narrative steam....

Yesterday, Fox issued a pilot order for an untitled X-Men TV series that will be created and executive produced by Burn Notice and APB creator Matt Nix. Among the other executive producers are Bryan Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg, who produce the X-Men movies for 20th Century Fox, along with Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory. While it’s still unclear what the series will be called, today it has been confirmed that Bryan Singer has finalized his deal to direct the pilot episode....

The newest cast member for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has been revealed. On Star Trek Day, the annual celebration of all things Star Trek that comes on the anniversary of the original TV show’s debut, several new announcements were made for the franchise’s various programs. This includes the casting of Carol Kane in the upcoming second season of Strange New Worlds, and a photo of her in character as Chief Engineer Pelia was unveiled on the franchise’s official Twitter account....

CBS has decided that being in the spin-off business is definitely good, with plans for another in the works. According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS is considering a spin-off to its popular series Criminal Minds. The spin-off would be created by Criminal Minds executive producer and showrunner Ed Bernero and executive producer Chris Mundy. Mundy will write the pilot, which would air this spring as a regular Criminal Minds episode, based off a story from both Mundy and Bernero....

The Visual Effects Society (VES) today announced the nominees for its 10th Annual VES Awards ceremony recognizing outstanding visual effects artistry in 23 categories of film, animation, television, commercials, special venues and video games. The whole look of the movie screams quarantine times; there are very few people at the same time on screen, many shots are through webcams, and there seem to be very few locations. This could work expertly as horror doesn’t always need spectacle. Atmosphere can go a long way, and there aren’t many things that cause feelings of anxiety and discomfort more than isolation does....
