New Regency has acquired screen rights to Baltimore, or The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire, an illustrated novel by Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden, according to Variety. The authors will write the screenplay, and David Goyer will direct. Just-published by Bantam, the graphic novel tells the story of the awakening of supreme evil on Earth. Lord Henry Baltimore is bitten by a demonic vampire bat on a WWI battlefield. The plague destroys his family, and Baltimore creates a team to hunt and fight the Red King, the embodiment of all evil....

Batman: The Animated Series (1992) was arguably the most iconic TV show involving the Caped Crusader. So it was understandably sad when its run ended after 85 episodes in 1995. However, as was recently revealed at the Los Angeles Comic-Con by the actor Kevin Conroy (the iconic voice of Batman) and John Glover (The Riddler), an audio drama that picks up the series from where it ended is currently in the works....

Batman Returns is the second installation in Tim Burton’s Batman film franchise. Following the events of the 1989 Batman, Batman Returns traces the life of Bruce Wayne as he is faced with new villains. The film introduces two new characters: Selina Kyle, Shreck’s assistant who becomes Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, a disfigured man who was abandoned by his parents to the sewers of Gotham as a baby (Danny DeVito)....

Jim Henson, history’s most beloved puppeteer, first got his break with a five-minute puppet show series called Sam and Friends on the Washington TV station WRC-TV. Sam and Friends was the forerunner for Henson’s most recognizable project of all time The Muppets. It even featured an early prototype of a character that would later become the franchise’s figurehead: Kermit the Frog! While The Muppets is certainly Henson’s most successful creation, he has been involved in many other projects, from successful TV shows like Fraggle Rock and Sesame Street to directing and providing the puppets and helping with special effects on classic 80s movies like Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal....

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever director Ryan Coogler has revealed that the Marvel sequel will begin with a time jump. Courtesy of a press release for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever from Disney, it has been revealed that the sequel will attempt to better reflect the real-life death of star Chadwick Boseman by jumping things forward a year. The success of this year’s Alice in Wonderland has the fairy tale genre hotter than ever and Relativity Media is setting up a brand new version of another classic tale. Deadline New York is reporting that Brett Ratner is setting up a brand new version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, simply titled Snow White. Melisa Wallack (Meet Bill) wrote the script and it was said that there were still several similarities to the original film, with a young woman being poisoned by the evil witch’s apple, there are several updated aspects to the story as well....

Fresh out of the Daredevil New York Comic-Con panel, Netflix has released a character teaser, confirming that the highly anticipated new season will detail the origin story of the iconic Marvel villain, Bullseye. This is the journey of the highly skilled, but deeply troubled and unpredictable Agent Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter (played by Wilson Bethel) as he descends into villainy. He becomes a deadly adversary for Matt Murdock…One who won’t stop until he’s destroyed the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen....

CBS is gearing up to remake yet another one of its classic TV series with The Wild Wild West. Deadline reports that the network is negotiating a deal to revive the Western action-drama. Battlestar Galactica creator Ronald D. Moore and former CSI: Crime Scene Investigation showrunner Naren Shankar will write and executive produce the pilot, which centers on two Secret Service agents investigating federal crimes after the Civil War. The original The Wild Wild West series ran from 1965 to 1969 and, since the series aired on CBS and originated at CBS Studios, the network retained the rights to the show....

Fans of Timothée Chalamet have a double dose of good news as Warner Bros. UK recently released a teaser trailer for Bones & All, a romantic cannibal road trip movie that reunites the fledgling movie star with director Luca Guadagnino, who made the actor an Academy Award-nominated leading man back in 2017 with Call Me By Your Name. On top of this, Guadagnino expressed his desire to make a Call Me By Your Name sequel with Chalamet, who has frequently expressed interest in such a project....

Netflix recently released the crime-solving comedy show Murderville starring the brilliant Will Arnett as Detective Terry Seattle. The show centers around Seattle solving a new mystery, each episode with a different celebrity guest as his rookie partner. The main cast has a script to go off of, but each guest has to improv their way through the chaotic characters as they try to solve the crimes. The episodes are fun and unique, as the cast obviously had a wonderful time making such a stylized show....

Half of 2007’s 10 biggest films were sequels, with four of them representing third installments in money-making franchises and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix as the fifth Harry Potter film for Warner Bros. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the familiar titles combined with many money-making new films – topped by DreamWorks/Paramount ’s Transformers – pushed the domestic box office to a record. Industry grosses totaled $9.62 billion in 2007, or 5% more than a year earlier and 4% more than the industry’s previous high from 2002, according to Nielsen EDI....

CBS’s broadcast of The 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards delivered its largest audience since 2005 and its highest adults 18-49 rating since 2006, according to Nielsen time adjusted fast national ratings for Sunday, Sept. 22. The Emmy Awards delivered 17.63 million viewers, 5.8 in adults 25-54, 4.9 in adults 18-49 and 4.5 in adults 18-34. Adam Sandler has his sights set on basketball success in the new teaser trailer for Hustle. The latest of many Netflix movies to feature Sandler in the lead, Hustle follows the beloved actor and comedian as a basketball scout who’s found someone he knows can make it to the NBA. Also produced by LeBron James, the movie is set to hit Netflix in June, but you can get a good feel of what the sports drama is like by watching the new teaser below....
