If you are a horror junkie you are in luck: the horror genre is currently in the middle of a resurgence. The genre seems to be ever-increasing in popularity, especially in the last few years, which brought us elevated horror movies like Get Out, The Witch, Hereditary, and Us—horror that is less senseless slashing and more character-driven, thought-provoking, social commentary. Streaming platforms are also focusing on the horror genre, as we see a large boost in horror-themed TV shows, such as Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and Midnight Mass....

Everyone’s favorite blue puppy has finally gotten her own film. Twenty-six years after Blue’s Clues exploded onto the children’s television scene, the popular Nick Jr. series has gotten the feature film treatment with Paramount+’s Blue’s Big City Adventure, and the results were well worth the wait. We are treated to toe-tapping, fun-filled adventure with enough engaging songs and story for the little ones, and enough nostalgia for the Gen Z audience that grew up with the original show (and their parents as well)....

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Carla Gallo and Jose Zuniga have both landed co-starring roles on The Station. This is Ben Stiller’s new comedy pilot for 20th Century Fox. Actor Jordan Peele has been bumped up to a regular on this project. The Station, which is produced by Fox, is executive produced by Stiller. It focuses on a “covert CIA operative Eric (Justin Bartha) and his workmates, who are on a mission in Central America to install a new dictator....

CBS, America’s #1 network, will premiere nearly all of its new and returning series during official premiere week (Sept. 23-29), following the Network’s Sept. 22 broadcast of The 65th Primetime Emmy Awards, which will air live, 8:00-11:00 PM, ET/5:00-8:00 PM, PT. How I Met Your Mother, entering its final season, returns with a special one-hour episode on Monday, Sept. 23 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT). No need to get angry with yet another DVD release of this classic film. The classic 12 Angry Men will be released in a new 50th Anniversary Edition on March 4. This move comes right on the heels of the release last Tuesday (December 4) of 12 Angry Men: Decades Collection, although it appears that release contains no special features.
