Netflix continues to invest in video game adaptations with the announcement of a Bioshock movie that will be coming to the streaming service. The streamer has partnered with Take-Two Interactive, the game’s parent company, and 2k, the game’s publisher, to possibly build a cinematic universe based on this property. So far, no filmmaker or cast members are attached to the film as it is still very early on in development. Netflix has also not confirmed whether the movie will be live-action or animated....

Kraven the Hunter is finally hitting the big screen thanks to Sony Pictures, and the film will be shot entirely on location. Aaron Taylor-Johnson stars as the title character, and he recently spoke with Variety about the upcoming movie. The actor was particularly interested in the character because he is “not an alien, or a wizard. He’s just a hunter, a human with conviction. An animal lover and a protector of the natural world....

Jessica Lange is back in the house, the Murder House, that is! Madison Montgomery and Behold Chablis go back to where it all began to unravel Michael Langdon’s past in this week’s episode of American Horror Story titled Return to Murder House. Madison Montgomery (Emma Roberts) and Behold Chablis (Billy Porter) pretend to be married in order to buy the infamous Murder House. They’re eager to buy, despite the realtor’s warning that 36 people have died on the property, a number that’s only likely to rise....

In the twist of the century, record-breaking blockbuster, Spider-Man: No Way Home’s star Jacob Batalon, who plays Peter Parker’s “guy in the chair” Ned Leeds reveals that whilst on the set of Spider-Man: No Way Home, legendary actor, Alfred Molina, who plays iconic Spider-Man villain Otto “Doc Ock” Octavius asked Batalon for his autograph. Molina, of course, is a household name for Marvel fans, for his portrayal of Doctor Octopus (also known as Doc Ock) in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2, which is often hailed as one of the best comic book movies of all time....

Warner Bros. is certainly in an interesting place regarding their DC properties. The time for a Holiday rom-com is back, and Zoey Deutch is leading the way with her upcoming film, Something From Tiffany’s. The Prime Video project centers on a proposal gone wrong, leading Deutch’s character, Rachel, to an unexpected relationship with Ethan, played by Kendrick Smith Sampson. Something From Tiffany’s comes from director Daryl Wein, known for his feature film work on Lola Versus, Consumed, and How It Ends. The filmmaker has also spent time in the television realm with projects such as Single Parents and Mozart in the Jungle....

Comedy Central is working with ascendant multi-hyphenate Awkwafina, as the #1 brand in comedy ordered 10 episodes of her self-titled scripted series, it was announced today by Sarah Babineau and Jonas Larsen, Executive Vice Presidents and Co-Heads of Talent and Development for Comedy Central. Awkwafina is a half-hour scripted narrative starring writer, actor and rapper Awkwafina (Ocean’s 8, Crazy Rich Asians) as a twenty-something living in Queens, striving for a larger than life existence while living with her father and grandmother....

Bates Motel is a prequel to one of the most iconic movie genres ever made: Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock. With heavy shoes to fill, the show had five seasons (from 2013 to 2017) to transform young and naive Norman Bates into the serial killer everyone loves to fear since the sixties. Even though the TV show created by Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin had a somewhat strong fanbase, so much so that it was able to finish the story it wanted to tell, it remains one of the most underrated horror shows of all time....

Sci Fi Channel today announced an all-new Battlestar Galactica special event, set to air in 2009 following the conclusion of the series and then released on DVD by Universal Studios Home Entertainment shortly thereafter. Directed by series star Edward James Olmos and written by Battlestar Galactica’s Jane Espenson, the two-hour event will begin shooting in Vancouver at the end of this summer. The cast includes Michael Trucco, Aaron Douglas and Dean Stockwell, with more to be announced in the coming weeks....

In a showdown between a little dog and a big country, the little dog came out on top. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Beverly Hills Chihuahua took the top spot on the national DVD sales charts, for the week ending March 8. It did face some stiff competition from another newcomer, though. Australia debuted in second place right behind Beverly Hills Chihuahua on the sales charts, but ended the week atop the rental charts for the week, with Beverly Hills Chihuahua nipping at its heels in second place....

There are some big changes in store for Heroes in the near future, including one pivotal new character. According to Entertainment Weekly, John Glover has been cast as Sylar’s father in Heroes. Glover, who has villain-dad experience from playing Lex Luthor’s father in Smallville, is said to appear towards the end of the series’ next volume, which is entitled “Fugitives.” “When Sylar meets his father, he’s going to see a path ahead of him that he doesn’t want to take,” reveals a Heroes insider....

The Weinstein Company is proud to announce that Bill Lawrence (Emmy nominated “Scrubs”) has signed on to adapt and direct Fletch Won, based on the book of the same name in the successful 1980’s “Fletch” franchise of mystery/comedy novels written by Gregory Mcdonald. Lawrence is expected to direct the film in April 2007 during his hiatus from “Scrubs.” Fletch Won will be the first feature film Lawrence will direct. David List is a producer on the project....

Ahead of the February streaming release of Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on Disney+, a new deleted scene from the film is making waves on the internet. Previous deleted scenes have widened the scope and meaning of the sequel, showcasing the Riri Williams/Shuri relationship building moment prior to their escape from Talokan City and an Everett Ross subplot after he infiltrated the NSA for Riri’s confiscated laptop. However, this latest clip provided by IGN hints at the internal power struggles at play following Queen Ramonda’s death with Border Tribe member Okoye (Danai Gurira) positioned as a new potential ruler for Wakanda....

It looks like after a much delayed and testing shoot, principal photography on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has finally wrapped in Puetro Rico, which will probably come as something of a relief to all of those involved in the tricky shoot. While some Marvel movies that due for release in 2023 have already completed or are close to completing filming, the Black Panther sequel has seen multiple issues causing lengthy delays, which in part were responsible for the movie having its release date pushed back as part of Disney’s schedule shake-up last year....
