Netflix smash hit Bridgerton became the subject of a lawsuit earlier this year as the streaming giant took the creators of the “Unofficial Bridgerton Musical” to court for copyright infringement. However, it seems that the case has now been dropped by Netflix before it made it to the courtroom, with sources suggesting that an undisclosed settlement was reached out of court between Emily Bear and Abigail Barlow, who wrote the musical, and Netflix....

Kevin James, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider and David Spade are in talks to star in an untitled comedy for Columbia Pictures, according to Variety. Frequent Sandler collaborator Dennis Dugan (You Don’t Mess with the Zohan) will direct. We reported earlier this month that actress Rosamund Pike was in talks for an icy superhero role and now it seems another actress is in talks for the part. Deadline New York is reporting that She’s Out of My League actress Alice Eve is in negotiations to portray Emma Frost in X-Men: First Class. Last month we reported that Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy star Will Ferrell revealed that the sequel was on hold, and then a few weeks ago David Koechnerrevealed they were trying to work out the scheduling. One star of Eternals is thinking that there were too many people who just weren’t ready for the “new” style of filmmaking that Chloe Zhao brought to the table with Eternals in 2021.
