Heat Vision is reporting that Adam Brody, Marley Shelton and Erik Knudsen have joined Scream 4. This new installment brings together Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson, who made the original Scream in 1996. Also coming back are Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox. Brody is going to play a cop who recently graduated from college and who was raised on the CSI TV series. Shelton will take on the role of a deputy who knew Neve Campbell’s character in high school....

Pilots: for the longest time, a television show either lived or died at the hands of its pilot. A showcase of what a show is meant to be in the span of a single episode, television pilots are often a fickle means of getting greenlit for a full series. They’re essentially a proof-of-concept, one that may or may not equate to success when given a full television commitment. Sometimes television pilots are utterly amazing, sometimes they’re downright terrible....

A prolific documentarian, Irish filmmaker Frank Berry’s feature work has been more sparse but equally well-received. His most famous film to date, 2017’s prison drama Michael Inside, garnered excellent reviews and brought Berry the Irish Film and Television Award for Best Film while also launching the career of its young star, Dafhyd Flynn, who has since appeared in Prime Video’s Vikings franchise. Berry’s latest feature film, Aisha, is set to wow audiences on its general release next month....

During its eight seasons, 24 chronicled Jack Bauer’s race against the clock to thwart political assassination attempts and multiple terror plots, with each season taking place within one 24-hour period. The series won a Golden Globe for Best Television Drama and a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series; Kiefer Sutherland also won a Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy for his performance. Sutherland, co-star Mary Lynn Rajskub (Chloe O’Brian), producer Howard Gordon (Homeland), writers Evan Katz and Manny Coto and director Jon Cassar reunite for the suspenseful 12-episode event, 24: Live Another Day....

There are plenty of popular TV shows that get spin-offs. The Walking Dead is about to unleash a whole host of additional shows now following the conclusion of the flagship series later this year. New shows featuring the core characters of Negan, Maggie, Daryl, Rick, and Michonne all set to appear in new storylines, continuing their adventures beyond The Walking Dead. With these spin-offs joining Fear The Walking Dead and Tales of the Walking Dead, it could be easy to see why Walking Dead fatigue could settle in, especially with the latter seasons of the main series seeing dwindling viewer numbers....

AMC Networks has announced a new effort titled We’re With You, which is making a ton of shows available to stream for free. This includes the first half of The Walking Dead season 10, amongst many others. This is part of a growing effort in the entertainment industry to help encourage people to practice social distancing by making content more accessible for the time being. This new multi-network effort is intended to entertain, inform and remind audiences that they are not alone and that we are all in this moment together....

American Gladiators could be making a surprise return to TV with the news that WWE and MGM are currently in discussions to reboot the competition series that pulled in huge audiences in the 1990s and has numerous different spin-offs currently on television. According to the report from Deadline, the energetic game show which saw contestants take on a series of obstacle based games against each other and a group of beefed up “Gladiators” who attempted to stop them scoring points, usually by dragging contestants to the ground....

The Voice judge and Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine has signed on for a role in Season 2 of American Horror Story. The singer will be making his scripted TV debut in American Horror Story, portraying one half of a modern couple known as “The Lovers.” It isn’t said how many episodes of Season 2 he will appear in, although the show is reportedly shooting around his summer touring schedule....

Given that Among Us is a game where players try to determine which of those among them is secretly a murderer, it’s only appropriate for Ghostface to become a part of it. In commemoration of the fifth movie finally making its way to theaters, Scream cosmetics are soon heading to the popular murder-mystery video game. Blonde has finally arrived on Netflix after much anticipation. The film, based on the novel by Joyce Carol Oates, brings the life of Marilyn Monroe to the big screen, albeit a fictionalized one. Unfortunately, the movie was notoriously difficult to make, as director Andrew Dominik spent more than a decade turning his adaptation into a feature film. As it turns out, the pre-production process for Blonde lasted far longer than the actual shoot....

We reported last February that director Ang Lee was taking on the film adaptation Life of Pi and now it seems the project is finally moving forward. IndieWire is reporting that 20th Century Fox is looking to greenlight the film, and that it will be filmed in 3D. It was said that producer Gil Netter (The Blind Side) is currently scouting locations in Taiwan and in southern India. It was said that the budget would come in around $70 million for the film, which was said to be loaded with special effects shots....

Smith, 39, collapsed and was unresponsive while staying at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe Hotel and Casino, said the attorney, Ron Rale. She was rushed to a hospital....

Anthony Head and Colin Morgan talk about the show’s first season While the summertime usually means reruns, NBC is turning back the clock with a brand new series dealing with the wizardry of Merlin, which premieres on Sunday, June 21 at 8 PM ET on NBC. Anthony Head plays King Uther Pendragon on the series and Colin Morgan steps into the robe of the title character, Merlin, on the series and the two actors recently held a conference call to discuss their new series....

You can relive the high school drama on DVD and Blu-ray this October. Assassination of a High School President will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on October 6. The standard DVD will be priced at $24.96 SRP while the BD will be priced at $34.95 SRP, although we don’t have cover art images as of yet. James Cameron’s sci-fi epic Avatar won the Golden Globe last Sunday for best dramatic film of the year. That boost has helped push its earnings to more than $9.1 million at the domestic box office this past Friday. This puts Avatar on track to topple The Dark Knight as the second highest grossing film of all time.
