Earlier this month, we reported that Disney Channel is moving forward with a sequel to the 1990s TV series Boy Meets World, entitled Girl Meets World. Today, it has been confirmed that Boy Meets World stars Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel will reprise their roles as Cory and Topanga. Dean Norris will portray James “Big Jim” Rennie, the owner of Chester Mill’s used car dealership and a city councilman. He uses his considerable clout to take control of the town when it becomes inexplicably sealed under a massive dome....

Most people are familiar with Brendan Fraser from his roles in blockbuster films. The popular anime series Castlevania is coming to an end on Netflix, but that may not be the end of the franchise just yet. Sam Taylor-Johnson is set to direct an upcoming Amy Winehouse biopic. Deadline reports that Studiocanal with Alison Owen and Debra Hayward alongside Tracey Seaward will be producing the film, currently titled Back to Black. The upcoming film will follow the life of Grammy-winning Winehouse, whose battle with alcohol and drugs led to her tragic death in 2011 when she was just 27 years old. Taylor-Johnson and the film’s producers will be casting the film in the upcoming weeks....

Warner Bros. has signed on Anne Hathaway to take the lead and Burr Steers to direct the romantic comedy The Fiance. According to Variety, a rewrite of The Fiance script is being done by Etan Cohen, the Tropic Thunder scribe who just turned in a script for the Judd Apatow-produced comedy to star Sacha Baron Cohen as Sherlock Holmes and Will Ferrell as Watson. The Fiance was originally scripted by Dyanne Stempel and Jennifer Robinson....

AMC has dropped a new trailer for Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, the upcoming series starring Alexandra Daddario as the heiress to a line of powerful witches. Daddario portrays Rowan Fielding, a young neurosurgeon who unintentionally uncovers that her birth mother comes from a line of witches. Upon this discovery, Rowan must contend with a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations. The trailer shows us Daddario’s character coming to terms with, and struggling to control, her recently discovered powers....
