Akiva Goldsman is planning to make his feature directorial debut on Winter’s Tale, an adaptation of the 1983 Mark Helprin novel, which was adapted by Akiva Goldsman, reports Deadline. Winter’s Tale centers around a thief, a dying girl and a flying white horse in 19th Century and contemporary Manhattan. Warner Bros. is behind the $75 million effort, which will soon cast up the key roles including Peter Lake, the orphaned mechanic who tries to rob a palatial West Side mansion, and the young dying girl who meets him there, who he becomes determined to save....

Francis Ford Coppola’s 1979 war classic Apocalypse Now will finally be released on Blu-ray in two separate editions on October 19.
