Cagney and Lacey is a 1980s police show featuring Sharon Gless as Detective Cagney and Tyne Daly as Detective Lacey. These two women are both very strong willed but like everyone else they also have their sensitive sides. They don’t want to be treated any different on the force because they are women, but they also don’t want to be impeded in doing their jobs because of that either....

CBS announced the 16 new castaways who will compete in Survivor: China when the 15th installment of the Emmy Award-winning series premieres Thursday, Sept. 20 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Survivor: China will feature a cast of 16 Americans who will begin the series amid the bustle of downtown Shanghai before moving to HuangPu Mountain’s Mi Tuo Temple for a Buddhist ceremony where they will be instructed to leave all of their worldly possessions behind....

South Korean director Chan-wook Park revealed today that his new thirty minute short, Paranmanjang, was shot entirely on an Apple iPhone 4. Here’s what he had to say about the process: Paranmanjang, which translates in English to “Life full of ups and downs,” centers on a man who catches a woman in the river while he is fishing at night. When they both become tangled up in the line, he believes she is dead, although she wakes up and strangles him before passing out....

Tonight, the International Academy of Web Television announced the winners of the 2nd Annual Streamy Awards during a live ceremony hosted by actor and comedian Paul Scheer at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. 300 destroyed the box office competition this weekend with an astounding $70 million dollars, according to Box Office Mojo; Gerard Butler plays the king and leader of the Spartan army. The buddy comedy, Wild Hogs dropped to second place, but still finished with $28 million; it’s made $77.4 million in its two weeks. John Travolta, Tim Allen, Martin Lawrence and William H. Macy star. The fantasy children’s film, Bridge to Terabithia came in third bringing in $6....

The Good The Bad This show is addictive. Seeing 22 competitors race around the world like rats in cage, all to possibly win $1 million dollars is fascinating. I am truly blown away by the things that people are asked to do on this show, as well as the things that people do do all in the name of the almighty dollar. Whether they have to find a ferris wheel, journey through India or do a “Roadblack” that is just exhausting mentally, physically and emotionally this show doesn’t let up....

It wasn’t a good week for Amber Heard as the jury in her defamation case awarded her to pay ex-husband Johnny Depp $15 million in damages. The jury had determined that Heard had defamed Depp with false allegations of domestic violence, finding her guilty on all three counts of defamation. It was not a total loss for Heard as Depp was found liable for one of three defamation counts in Heard’s counterclaim....

For better or for worse, one of the revelations from the Depp v Heard trial that has gotten the most attention is the alleged incident involving fecal matter in the couple’s bed. Johnny Depp, who’s suing ex-wife Amber Heard for $50 million, alleges that he and Heard had a particularly bad argument on the day of her 30th birthday. According to Depp, he was shown a photograph the next day of the couple’s bed which had apparently been soiled with feces....

Coming into a massive franchise like the Marvel Cinematic Universe can be a daunting prospect for even the most seasoned actor. So for Kathryn Newton, who takes over the role of Cassie Lang in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, she felt she needed to ask for advice from MCU veteran Paul Rudd. While speaking with The Wrap, Newton revealed that during a break on set, Rudd was happy to compliment her work and give her some helpful advice....

Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis is working on a series for HBO, tentatively titled Scar Tissue, that is based on his unconventional, rock ’n’ roll childhood, according to Variety. Kiedis has partnered with Catapult 360 partners Marc Abrams and Michael Benson to create the series. Abrams and Benson are scouting for a writer to pen the script, which will center on Kiedis’ relationship with his father, Spider, who sold drugs and mingled with rock stars on the Sunset Strip, all while aspiring to get into showbiz....

Although there is currently no release date set for Anthony Mackie’s first solo movie as Captain America, the actor was recently reported to have revealed that shooting on the film is ready to start in the next few weeks. Mackie’s Sam Wilson was originally given the shield of Steve Rogers in the final scenes of Avengers: Endgame, but it was only after events of Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier that Sam finally acknowledged his new role as the second MCU Captain America....

House of Hammer, a working title for an upcoming project from ID and Discovery+, will cover various scandals involving actor Armie Hammer and his family. The Lone Ranger star’s movie career ended after several women accused him of rape and as someone who engaged in varying degrees of sexual abuse and attempted cannibalism. According to Variety, the special will use a trove of archives and interviews from survivors and unspecified family members to investigate “a dysfunctional dynasty with its male characters exhibiting all the devastating consequences of privilege gone wild....

While Arnold Schwarzenegger is best known for blowing things up and taking on legions of bad guys, from the late 80s onward, the Terminator star found his feet briefly in the comedy genre thanks to the movies Twins and Kindergarten Cop. In 1994, as well as a reunion with director James Cameron on the action blockbuster True Lies, he also teamed up again with Danny DeVito on the comedy Junior, a movie that told the story of a scientist who undergoes an experimental treatment that sees him being impregnated....

We now know who Bad Boys for Life star Jacob Scipio will be playing in the upcoming Batgirl movie. Beast Wars: Transformers introduced two new factions to Transformers lore: The Maximals, descendants of the Autobots, and the Predacons, descendants of the Decepticons. We reported back in January that Martin Scorsese was in talks to direct The Invention of Hugo Cabret and now it seems the film will be Scorsese’s next and he is locking up two cast members as well. Deadline New York is reporting that Ben Kingsley and Sacha Baron Cohen are in talks to star in The Invention of Hugo Cabret. The film will be based off of Brian Selznick’s children’s book, which centers on a 12-year-old orphan who lives inside the walls of a Paris train station in 1930....
