Bojack Horseman is heading to Comedy Central. The Netflix original series will be the first from the streaming service to actually make it to syndication on another network and it’s not likely to happen often, if ever, in the future. The Tornante Company, which produces the animated series, retained the rights for a domestic syndication sale when they made their deal with the streaming service. BoJack Horseman was one of the first shows that Netflix produced and, in the time since, they have insisted on retaining exclusive worldwide rights for their shows....
WEEKEND BOX OFFICE It’s been a boffo weekend for Fast Five. This big budget car sequel seems to have welcomed the summer blockbuster season into the box office. It managed to crank out a spectacular $83 million. Add in international takes and it’s grossed $165 million. This is particularly impressive because this surprisingly well-reviewed crowd-pleaser has managed to top the previous entry in the series which made $71 million on opening weekend....
There’s plenty more Bridgerton where that came from, as Netflix has officially renewed the series for another two seasons. Following a highly successful first season on the streamer, Netflix initially ordered a second season back in January. With production on season 2 now underway, Netflix has gone ahead and renewed Bridgerton for seasons 3 and 4 as well. “Bridgerton swept us off our feet,” Bela Bajaria, VP global TV at Netflix, said in a statement....
Peter Cattaneo (The Full Monty) has signed on to direct Bridget Jones’ Baby for Universal Pictures and Working Title Films. We first reported on the project back in August, when Working Title gave the sequel a green light. The project was untitled at the time, but this new title seems to fall in line with statements made by Colin Firth in August. This has not been confirmed as the actual plot of Bridget Jones’ Baby at this time, though....

Evil Dead legend Bruce Campbell has further teased that he shot a cameo for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but at the same time, he’s casting some doubt whether fans will actually see it. We all knew that it was very likely Campbell would appear in the film at some point once his longtime collaborator Sam Raimi took a seat in the director’s chair. A sequel to The Batman was confirmed to be in the works just recently, and already new details are being revealed. Director and writer Matt Reeves spoke with Collider about the upcoming film, saying that the focus will remain on Bruce Wayne, who is the “emotional center” of the film: This might seem like an obvious detail, but considering how many Batman films tend to shift the focus away from Batman himself and more on his villains (commonly referred to as a rogues’ gallery), it’s interesting to learn that Reeves intends to keep the spotlight on the caped crusader himself....

Looks like the curator/composers of Rogers: The Musical theme that played in the first episode of the Disney+ series Hawkeye wants to stretch that number from a small stint to an entire Broadway production. In a discussion with Entertainment Weekly, when asked if they would ever consider doing a Marvel musical, songwriters Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman took no time admitting that they would love to.
