Alcon Entertainment is developing the comedy Late Bloomer, based on the true story of a man who undergoes puberty in three weeks, according to Variety. The 2001 book “Man Made: A Memoir” by Ken Baker, chronicles Baker’s struggle with the effects of a benign tumor that rested against his pituitary gland, which delayed his puberty and normal development, causing him frustration and embarrassment. At age 27, a successful operation to remove the tumor restored him to hormonally normal masculinity, but resulted in his experiencing all the effects of puberty over an extremely condensed three-week period....

Riverdale star Skeet Ulrich has just landed his next starring role. Per Deadline, it has just been announced that the actor has boarded The Driver, an upcoming remake of a British drama series that’s in the works at AMC. Ulrich joins fellow lead star Giancarlo Esposito with other cast members including Paula Malcomson and Bonnie Mbuli. Filming is scheduled to start this month in New Orleans. The American adaptation of The Driver is created for the small screen by Danny Brocklehurst, Sunu Gonera, and Theo Travers with Travers also serving as series showrunner....

AMC Networks and Cablevision have finally settled their long standing legal dispute with Dish, which means that Dish’s 14 million viewers will be able to tune into the all-new second episode of The Walking Dead Season 3 tonight when it airs at 8/9c. Dish and AMC entered into a long-standing legal battle over carriage negotiations, with the network being pull from the cable provider on July 1st. Other channels also pulled from Dish’s line-up included WE, IFC, Fuse, and the Sundance Channel, all of which will resume broadcasting on November 1st....

The popular CBS comedy series Mom has just been dealt a tremendous blow, as star Anna Faris is reportedly leaving the show ahead of its eighth season. The news comes as a bit of a shocker, as Faris and co-star Allison Janney had both just signed two-year contract extensions just last year. Word is that Faris’ departure had been finalized early on into production on the show’s eighth season, and the creative team has already moved on ahead by writing new episodes without her character, Christy Plunkett....

After a failed audition years ago for Saturday Night Live, Aubrey Plaza is set to return to the long-running sketch comedy show on Saturday night’s new episode. It was previously announced that Plaza, who recently impressed critics with her performance in HBO’s The White Lotus, would be guest hosting the first episode of SNL of 2023. It marks the hosting debut for Plaza, who’s joined by a returning Sam Smith as the musical guest....

Too many real-life scumbags getting consistent media coverage affected the writing of Better Call Saul. Before the series debuted on AMC in 2015, Bob Odenkirk first appeared as Saul Goodman in the show’s parent series Breaking Bad. In the original show, Odenkirk’s Saul Goodman was depicted as sleazy and conniving, though he was exceptionally good at his job as an attorney. Better Call Saul showed viewers another side of Saul Goodman, however, by going into the backstory of the flashy lawyer....

The Irwin family will soon be expanding as Bindi Irwin has announced that she is expecting her first child with her new husband, Chandler Powell. This will also be the first grandchild of the late Steve Irwin, the conservationist and television personality best known as Crocodile Hunter. Taking to Instagram, Bindi referred to her upcoming bundle as their “Wildlife Warrior,” revealing that she is due in 2021. In the photo, Bindi and Chandler can also be seen holding a baby-sized Australia Zoo shirt, acknowledging the famous zoo that was founded by her grandparents and is still owned by the famous Irwin family....

Academy Award winner and Marvel star Brie Larson is not sure of her future as Captain Marvel following the release of the upcoming sequel, The Marvels. Appearing at D23, Larson was asked by Variety about her future as the Marvel superhero, with Larson making a dry reference to the online abuse she has suffered since joining the franchise back in 2019. Brie Larson led her own adventure, Captain Marvel, in 2019, which introduces the MCU to the beloved Marvel character after she is separated from her team of Kree warriors and is stranded on Earth....

Inc., a leader in digital imaging, announced today that Bryce Dallas Howard, one of Hollywood’s most versatile and dynamic young talents both on screen and behind the camera, has been invited by Canon and her father Ron Howard to direct his latest film endeavor, Project Imagin8ion. Captain America: The First Avenger is getting one or more new original songs from Alan Menken. Apparently, the Oscar nominated musician is currently hard at work creating new tunes for the upcoming Marvel adventure. It is not known if it will be one or more songs, but the music will most likely appear during Captain America’s stint in the USO. Bond is coming back and better than ever in a brand new set. Casino Royale will be coming back to DVD and Blu-Ray on October 21.
