Animated films are a popular genre amongst both children and adults, introducing themes that anyone can relate to. Cohesive storylines, dynamic plot, and comedic characters all compose what makes an animated film so great. In 1928, nearly two decades after Fantasmagorie, Walt Disney introduced the world to what would become one of the most iconic cartoon characters ever created: Mickey Mouse, the character that would become famous for the animated short, Steamboat Willie, and become one of the first sound cartoons ever made....

Before The Devil Knows You Re Dead Exploring Sidney Lumet S Final Masterpiece

In 1995, on a Bloomberg television chat-show set, sat across from an unusually nervous Charlie Rose, was the filmmaking pioneer Sidney Lumet. Rose, a man who had interviewed Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, was both visibly and audibly reverential in the presence of this movie academic....

Blue Thunder Dvd Review

The Good This movie is just is entertaining as it was when I first watched it in the movie theater! The Bad I would like to have gotten a commentary track from Roy Scheider. There are very few films that bring up memories of the 1980s like Blue Thunder. Heck, there are very few actors that scream 1980s like Roy Scheider. It isn’t that he is trapped in some world of the past, he was just one of those guys whose star seemed to soar during that decade (or maybe it was just a continuation of his work from the 1970s?...
