Bill Nye the Science Guy the Domino Guy is making an appearance on tonight’s episode of Domino Masters on FOX. In the last night before the semifinals, the quarter-finals will premiere on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at 9:00/10:00 PM ET/PT. Bill Nye will be helping to judge three teams as they “compete in an unbelievable domino toppling and chain reaction tournament with a science theme.” Domino Masters is hosted by the multi-Emmy Award-winning actor Eric Stonestreet of Modern Family....

On December 14, Jessica Biel, Rosario Dawson and Matthew Perry joined the Hollywood Foreign Press Association President Philip Berk to announce the Nominations for The 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Nominations were announced in 25 categories. The 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards will take place Monday, January 15, 2007, at The Beverly Hilton with a live telecast airing on NBC at 8 p.m. (EST) and produced by dick clark productions in association with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association....

In a joint decision made by 24’s star and executive producer Kiefer Sutherland, executive producer and showrunner Howard Gordon, Twentieth Century Fox Television, Imagine Entertainment and Fox Broadcasting Company, it was determined that the acclaimed series will end its remarkable eight-season run. Jack Bauer’s last day on Fox will conclude when the final two hours of “Day Eight” air Monday, May 24 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). As the countdown to the series’ climactic conclusion races on, the final 11 hours will air uninterrupted Mondays (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on Fox....

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films has announced the nominations for the 34th Annual Saturn Awards. Leading the nominations this year is the groundbreaking film, 300 with 10 nominations. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix follows close behind with 9 nominations and Tim Burton’s Sweeney Todd is represented with 8 nominations. A trio of fantastic adventures: The Golden Compass, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, and Spider-Man 3 received 4 nominations each, while The Bourne Ultimatum, Eastern Promises, Enchanted, Grindhouse, Stephen King’s The Mist, No Country for Old Men, Stardust, and There Will Be Blood each received 3 nominations....

There has always been something special about an aircraft soaring through the skies. Film audiences have enjoyed seeing pilots on the big screen for many years, with many of them becoming beloved characters in pop culture. Sam Raimi’s syndicated original Wizard’s First Rule is set to bow in all of the top 50 markets in the US. Variety says the ABC/Disney show, based on the “Sword of Truth” books by Terry Goodkind, is greenlit for 22 episodes and will begin production in May. Now it looks like the action/fantasy show will preside over a nonfictional kingdom, as well: “Rule,” which is sold station-by-station, has been cleared in 84% of the country in the not quite six weeks it’s been on sale....

The pandemic romance has two strangers double-booking an upstate New York Airbnb at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The film has an innate sweetness but fails to be compelling. There are no surprises as an attractive woman and man do what comes naturally in a stressful situation. The characters wrestle with personal tragedies as the coronavirus halts society....

Angelina Jolie may be the hardest working actress in Hollywood as X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2’s Christopher McQuarrie is writing a new film entitled Unforgiven for the popular star to headline, according to Deadline New York. We reported yesterday that Angelina Jolie will make her directorial debut with a new love story set during the Bosnian war, which is being developed by producer Graham King and his GK Films production company. Graham King is also behind this new Unforgiven project, which will be based on the 2009 BBC mini-series which centers on a woman trying to adjust to life on the outside after serving a 15-year sentence in prison for murdering two cops....

Former Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen is planning his return to series television in Anger Management, a new sitcom loosely based on Revolution Studios’ 2003 hit comedy feature of the same name. Lionsgate-owned Debmar-Mercury, headed by Co-Presidents Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein, will distribute the series that will be produced by Lionsgate Television, led by Television Group President Kevin Beggs and COO Sandra Stern; Joe Roth and Revolution Studios’ Vince Totino; Sheen manager Mark Burg’s production company, Evolution Management; and Robert Maron....

Emmy Award-winning actress Anna Gunn (Breaking Bad) and two-time Academy Award nominee Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook) will join Welsh BAFTA winner David Tennant (Broadchurch, Doctor Who) in the highly anticipated event series Gracepoint, set to premiere during the 2014-2015 season on Fox. Gunn, who won an Emmy Award this year for her role as “Skyler White” on Breaking Bad, will play Detective Ellie Miller, a happily married wife and mother who is looking forward to a promised promotion....

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has thrown up some unexpected projects recently, and one of the most divisive to date has been She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Time has proven to change the way we look back on past events. Sci-fi fans and the Hollywood community at large are in mourning once again after another beloved actor has passed. Barry Jenner, who is best known for his portrayal of Admiral Ross on the hit series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, has passed away at the age of 75. The actor died from acute myeloid leukemia at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The actor’s wife, actress Suzanne Hunt, confirmed her husband’s death to The Hollywood Reporter....
